Groceries in/near downtown San Diego?

We will likely be staying in downtown San Diego, near the Midway museum, and I was wondering whether there is a grocery store nearby? We won't have a car, so walking distance is best. We would just want a few items, nothing major. Thanks!

I forget the name but there was a supermarket a couple of blocks from the Hyatt that we walked to to grab some water, soda & adult beverages (plus sunscreen). I think it was on Market St. The hotel front desk should be able to help. We found out about it from the bellman

This is a super late response, but your pre-trip report says you don't go until August, so hopefully this is still helpful information. There is a Ralph's grocery store at the corner of G Street and First Avenue.
