Yep, they said they couldn't be used with Gift Cards.

They are actually entertainment cards, not gift cards and should ring up with the discount. The only ones that don't are Target, Amex, Visa, etc GC's.

Did you actually swipe and use your Redcard to pay? If you're using the card, the cashier has no way to "deny" you the discount. It comes off immediately when you swipe your card (or enter your pin if it's the debit Redcard).

Just as an FYI....I just double checked both my Target receipts from the past few days and both showed the discount on the full amount including the Disney gift cards.

Sorry to be so dense but I've tried to read through the entire thread; it's just so long. So if I get a Target credit card, I automatically get 5% off any Target purchase, no coupon needed. Correct?

Then how does the pharmacy rewards system work? I work in a hospital and our insurance is such that we need to get most rx filled at our pharmacy on campus. We can go to retail pharms but our copay will be double to triple.
Is there a way to join the pharm reward program buying OTC products?
I'm assuming once you join that's when they start sending you coupons like $10 off $100.

My hubby works for Target corporate so we get 10% off as employee's plus we have a Target debit card and if you sign up for pharmacy rewards at Target you get a coupon for 5% off for every 5 prescriptions filled. Woo hoo! 20% off!

So really I just wanted to tell you about the additional 5% with pharmacy rewards. It's really easy. Sign up at the pharmacy and its tied to your Target red card or debit card so you don't need to keep track of anything.

correct you don't need a coupon just pay for your purchase with your Target credit card and 5% is instantly taken off of the total. :-)

you sign up for the pharmacy rewards and will only recieve credit for prescriptions that are filled at Target pharmacy, no OTC products, but you can still receive coupons...Though that is completely at random, I have been a part of the pharmacy rewards for a few years now and have never recieved a coupon, only the rewards certificates that I earned with filling presciptions.

I just have to thank all of you for this awesome thread! We've been fans of the Target red card and pharmacy rewards for a while now but never even thought about using them on gift cards. After reading this board we've been so excited to save so much on our trip! We bought our first cards today and already have another pharmacy reward to use to buy more next pay day. This is the only upside to us needing 4 prescriptions every month

Are the pharmacy coupons transferrable? My parents get a lot of Rx filled there. If they join, could they share with me or would they have to be there to buy them? Could we use my Target card?

The pharmacy coupons are tied to the name of the recipient. I'm mailing a $500 check to my sister today. She has one she can't use. Between the Red Card discount and the pharmacy coupon, I'll get $550 in coupons and I'm paying off a Fantasy concierge cruise. I can use all the discounts I can get.

We have a Benny card now, so do I have to use my Target card to get in on the Pharmacy reward club, or can I use my phone number and the Benny Card? Thanks!
