I love iced coffee but I do not like it sweetened at all. Just with a splash of half-n-half.

To make it at home, I think you just need to brew regular coffee but at almost double the strength, then refrigerate. The trick is making it strong, otherwise it will just be watery and blah.

The Starbucks Via packets are okaaay in a pinch but they are sweet.

Okay, because of this thread, I made the Pioneer Woman's recipe. Well, sort of!!! I didn't measure anything, just sort of added "to taste". It is awesome!!! Tastes just like any coffee shop iced coffee.

I used Dunkin Donut's French Vanilla coffee. I did soak it for about 6 hours (couldn't hold out for the 8 hours). I added some Stevia and Almond Joy coffee creamer. Wanted it just a bit sweeter, so I added some sweetened condensed milk. That made it totally AWESOME!!!!

I have tried to make iced coffee before, but it never tasted good. Now, with this recipe, I am HOOKED UP!!!

Thank you OP for starting this thread

I do tooooo! LOVE IT! I drink it all day. I don't think I'd function without it.

Great Starbucks Iced Coffee order (without getting all fancy and milky) ~ Venti Iced Americano, with NO water, and 4 pumps of white chocolate syrup. You don't even need cream, or sweetner, and it's perrrrrfect. 80 calories.

Heres my results:

Went to Meijer and bought a new pitcher especially for the coffee - it's gallon sized...just the right size for me! I can't be storing iced coffee in the kid's juice/kool aid pitcher. Then I bought a kona blend coffee, lowfat half and half, and almond flavored syrup.

I made the pioneer woman recipe and it's amazing! For my tastes, I start with a tablespoon or so of flavor shot, add a tablespoon of cream and fill with ice and coffee. It was better than I'd buy out.

It should save me some money this summer, since I was buying it out at least once a day.

I am not sure if I should love you or hate you for posting this.

I made a half batch of this on Monday. I would have made an entire batch but I didn't have containers big enough for it.

Well needless to say, I will be buying bigger containers because this is so delicious!

I've added it all (coffee, creamer, sugar and ice) in the blender and make my own Iced Capp. Ohhhhhhhhh so good!

It's definitely cheaper than buying it, and you can make it healthy with ff creamer/milk, less sugar/ splenda, etc.
