Popping on real quick--I have been lurking away on my phone, though! I am glad everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Judy--you need to post pics of the lights! My Dad did up a HUGE display all for Miss Kaity (they stocked up on lights after Christmas last year). We hardly ever had lights when I was a kid, and never to the extreme he did. I joked it was the Osborne Spectacle of Lights *my hometown* edition. I will have to get a pic up. I only have a cell phone pic, so the quality is probably not that great.

We'll be putting our lights up this weekend.

Glad your Dad is doing well, but OUCH for your Mom's back! Praying Lisa's leg pain improves.

I gave myself a hamstring problem from my old worn out running shoes, which FINALLY got replaced. The new shoes and some KT Tape helped with the shin splints I'd given myself, but so far the hamstring is still aching. Taking the week off and trying to be diligent about resting and treating it properly.

Praying for the other needs mentioned, and continuing to pray for Andrea's house to SELL!!!! Oh, and LOVED the pics of David in his uniform!

I better get off the DIS now, lots to do today! Love and hugs and especially prayers all around!

So sorry to hear about Lisa's leg and your Mom's back. I hope they both improve quickly. It sounds like you had a nice relaxing Thanksgiving - just what all of you needed! Yuck on the car and insurance bills. It never ends, does it?

I wound up at urgent care the night before Thanksgiving with 3rd degree burns on my hand. I was pulling a pie out of the oven with one hand and it started to tip so I grabbed it with my un-mitted hand. Oops! Fortunately, the doctors were great and got me all bandaged up and on my way pretty quickly. They said even though it doesn't hurt now (no feeling at all on the badly burned skin on two fingers), when it starts to heal it is not going to be nice! They gave me some cream called Silvadene or something like that and that stuff is magic! NO redness or blisters on the lesser burned skin the morning after it happened, and the badly burned stuff is limited to a fairly small area over the fingers. I couldn't believe how good it looked compared to when it happened when I took off the bandages the other day. Hopefully it will heal up well, as I play the piano for church and would hate to lose flexibility in those fingers. Lesson learned - wear mitts on BOTH hands when taking stuff out of the oven!

Just a quick note as I'm exhausted after working all day (Mondays are are long days).

I hope Lisa's leg is feeling better and that you didn't have to add the vascular surgeon to your list of appts today.

I'm really happy to hear your dad is fairing well and hope your mother listens and behaves and doesn't overdo herself anymore.

JENNIE thank you so kindly for the prayers re: our house. I've been praying too.

BeesKnees so sorry to hear your burned yourself so badly. I hope you heal without incident. I had a horrid burn one morning when I spilled boiling water over my hand. It was sooooooo painful but it healed in no time. I hope you have the same good luck I had.

I finally had to break down and make our 17 year old cat a vet appt. He is overdue by at least one year and quite possibly two. He has always been healthy so I kept procrastinating until we had some money. Now he is throwing up quite often and I really feel I have no choice but to get blood work done. I hate the thought of the vet bill, but I can't let the old man be sick if there is something that can be done for him. He has always been a vomiter and they never found anything in the past, but it seems like it's more often lately and he also is losing weight. His appt is Wednesday so please keep him in your thoughts for good news and me for a low vet bill!

Prayers to all in need. I hope everyone has a lovely evening.

I've read a few pages at the begining, and back to the begining of Nov., and have barely made a dent in this thread.

I came to this thread expecting a PTR, but I found something much better - a lovely group of people that care about each other and pray. Adding my prayers as well.

Andrea, praying for your sweet cat and hoping the vet can get you some answers for him. Pets are family, too! I'll continue to pray that your house will sell soon. That must be so stressful to be so far away while you are trying to get it sold. My BIL and SIL are trying to sell their house as well, and the market stinks here right now. That is part of the reason DH decided not to take the new position in WI. We can't afford to be paying to keep up two residences for who knows how long, as I have no illusion that our house would sell very quickly in this market, and I really don't want to become a long-distance landlord. I've seen that go sour more times than I can count with friends who have leased out their first home when they had to move.

Angel's momma, welcome! You'll find this to be a fantastic group of ladies and some of the nicest people you will ever "know".

Judy, hope you got some much-needed rest and that your Mom is getting some, as well. We are praying that your Dad gets some great home care from lovely nurses who can tend to his needs and give you and your Mom the support you need as he continues to heal. I am sure being home will help his frame of mind tremendously, but it does put a new type of pressure on you to make sure he is getting the care he needs.

Judy, I hope Lisa's leg pain is better, your mom's back is better and that your dad continues to improve. It's going to be hard getting here everyday with so much to sneak and do before the trip next week. But you are never far from my thoughts.

WE BELIEVE IN MIRACLES! ~~~~~~~~ Nearly twice as many children die from Congenital Heart Defects in the U.S. each year as die from all forms of childhood cancers combined.

Leaving shortly for David’s neuro-opthalmology (We always dread this appt, it takes 3 to 4 hours...).

AMY, I am so sorry to read of your burn accident , third degree burns hurt the least but cause the most damage (It is your 1st and 2nd degrees ones causing you the most pain). HUGE HUGS! Praying your fingers will be just fine once they are healed and I am so happy you went to have them treated. The Home care nurses are coming out every other day, so I am pleased! Krystal, I know this is a hugely scary time for you all and I am praying for your miracle! Lisa, my Lisa IS feeling better, my Mom will be soon...Dad continues to improve. you Chiara, I will answer your PM, hopefully later today (Your’s too Michelle). Thank you both. Jennie, take care of that hamstring! When Rachel was five I had to get a cast (over Christmas, yuck) for Achilles tendonitis and wore it for 6 weeks..not fun. Do all of your exercises, I know how important these runs are too you. I LOVE that your Dad is putting out lights for Kaity, we never did as a child and my children LOVE it! I can just see the expression on Kaitys face (I want to see pics too)! Andrea, Hugs for your long day and your kitty baby . I know life would be much easier if your house would JUST SELL! Praying for good news at the Vet and that he will give you good answers! Christi, this thread gets lost on “Disney” news at times and yet it is at the forefront of all we do here. I promise it started out as a Pre-trip report and IF things would just slow down on my end I would start the next report and finish the MAW one! There was news of our September trip and plans in here as well...and you never know when Disney magic might strike again! Our last trip was out of the blue and gifted to us. Glad you are still here. Gail, I would LOVE to talk when you have time. Kathy, the trip is next week? Time sure has flown, I can’t wait to hear all about it!

Amy mentioned it (I had wondered Friday when I saw it if she would recognize Lisa). Victory Junction, a lovely camp for children that both David and Rachel have attended, also visits hospitals. You might remember back in July I posted a link to an article they did in our local newspaper, featuring Lisa. Friday we received a Fundraiser Pamphlet in the mail from Victory Junction Camp. Imagine my surprise when I unsealed the brochure and it opened right to the donation page on the right and this gorgeous lovely on the left...I have already had two friends email to ask me if I knew she was yet again "famous"...that is always her wish, to be famous...FYI, I AM NOT LOOKING FOR A DONATION, just wanted to share the pic. This was during her third hospital stay/surgery this summer. Enjoy the photo.

Prayers for all who have posted requests here and those who read who don’t. NONE of you have been forgotten, you are ALL in my book to pray for...I am humbled that both publicly and privately you ask me to lift your needs up to Our Lord and Thank you for the privilege to intercede on your behalf. Enjoy this season of miracles we are entering, they are all around us.

LOVE that Lisa is Famous again!!! and with such a great organization!!!

Hello!!! Hope you are doing well today. Been a while since I've had a chance to catch up. With traveling for work the week before Thanksgiving, then out of town for Thanksgiving.....I feel like I've been away forever! So glad you had a fantastic Thanksgiving day and that your Dad is home and slowly on the way to recovery. Work on Mom to behave herself and not get herself run down.

Glad Lisa is feeling better - her leg doing okay now?

Prayers for all those with hospitalizations, illnesses, burned fingers (ouch!) and hamstring injuries!

Loving reading about everyone putting up Christmas decorations/lights. Time to get festive! Check out this adorable pixie dust ornament:
http://blog.undercovertourist.com/ I have got to make one for my tree!!!

Everyone have a great rest of the day!!!

Love the picture of our famous Lisa.
Thanks for your prayers Judy. I appreciate them more than words can say. I think right now I am just praying for time. Time to make memories, time to be a family with a break from sickness, time to make each moment count for as long as we can.

Of course Im always praying for you guys as well. Not a day goes by that you and your family are not in my prayers.
Prayers going out for allthe other needs on this board as well.
