Meredith's quote didn't pick up, I hope I didn't miss anyone else!

Hope all was well though!!

Glad to hear Lisa is healing; praying she doesn't have or develop a hernia.

Thank you! ME TOO!!
To my untrained eye they look identical! She is sooo adorable!

To THIS Mama, their markings are the same but they look quite different!
I'm glad it's pneumonia and not something more serious; I do hope that the mass in her stomach is nothing to worry about. My grandmother has been in a nursing home for about 4 or 5 years now and we have no idea how much longer she has.

I am still worried.
Wouldn't it be the best thing if we could get rid of all sickness?

YES

Reminds me of this (sorry it's small, it's cropped out of a picture):

It's an ad for parking I believe.
Love all the NYC pictures, it looks like we saw a lot of the same sites! I used to not really like the city, but I do now for sure!

I would like to see a few things more up close, but wouldn't want the traffic.

There is no doubt you have an incredible family. Each and every one of your kids is very special. I can't belive David is willing to go to be a help, and of course Christian is amazing for helping out. Rachel's words are so sweet and we all know about Princess Lisa...
I wish I could say my family rallied like that. I don't think I realized how bad it was (especially with my sister) until I went to the chronic illness support group.

Our Immediate family is very different, I know that. Extended family doesn't rally at all...as my sister said to me yesterday when I reminded her I had a full time job just caring for my family, she said VERY sarcastically... "I KNOW, all of your kids have SOMETHING..." I told her very sweetly, she was right, they have class, heart and love!

Hey busy lady, hope the move went well. I was thinking about you and those babies heading to school!

Yeah Glad that Lisa's wound is healing. That sucks about the scaring but the good news is it's healing.

Scars are OKAY as long as she heals, I just want the oozing to stop!

I really hope they have a cancellation soon for Christian. The waiting has just got to be really hard with everything thins else going on.

I need some time to work on that!
Hopefully things come through soon with the siding so you can get rid of the bats.

Glad the trip is still on!! Enjoy the family time!!

Was going to say good luck for your Dad today. Then I read this.....

Lots of prayers and thoughts for your dad and your whole family during this hard stressful time. Really hope he's able to get in very, very soon!!!!

THANK YOU for all of the prayers, good wishes the excitement for us! You are a special lady!

My kids are so old beyond their years but they know what is important. Thank you for your prayers Gail! You sure were up late, I hope all is well!

NYC was so amazing, it feels like a dream. Loved sharing the pics of our "trip" and the BG pics, so fun! We all appreciate your prayers dear friend!

My Dad's appointment is at 11, I am sure we will have more questions than answers...I just wish we could get this diagnosis nailed down, so we can HURRY and start treatment, time is of the essence. I take with me the knowledge we have so many praying for us!

I sure hope I didn't miss anyone, it wasn't intentional!

I am very excited. It was so sweet of my sister to treat me to this! We have a very active cruise thread and I started a "group trip report." I thought it would be a lot more informative for people to read the experiences of a group of people with different ages and family sizes. I think we will have a lot of fun!

I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and my primary is pleased with how I am doing. She made my day when she said she looked forward to seeing me because I was one of the few patients who actually followed her directions!

Even though I have the expected progression of symptoms, it is slower than it "should" be! I credit prayer and a positive outlook as much as taking my meds and doing what my doctors say to do.

I have a new respect for all little Lisa has gone through. I now know what an inr is.between the cardiac cath and all of I've starts and labs,I won't be wearing short sleeves for a very long time. I'm hoping to go home tonight but it all depends at this point on what the pulmonary doc says. I have never been sick so this has been quite an experience. My one piece of advice for you all is to take a baby aspirin each day. I've been told many times this week that that little aspirin saved my life. Hope you all have a good day any know that you are all in my prayers!

Thanks Dory/Tink!

HUGE prayers being said for your Gad. PLEASE tell me the brain bleeds didn't come from the coumadin (who is being Dory now )

Did I ever tell you I was a scrub nurse for an eye surgeon? (I have done a lot folks and at the tender age of 29). Loved it when it all worked out as it should and I pray that will be your Dad's story as well! Praying by the 7th at his followup he will see the chart better than ever with the pinholes! (Does anybody no what I am talking about besides Andrea )

Michelle, praying for all of your needs, including my buddy Anakin!!! HOw many soda can tabs does he want?
Glad I'm not the only one with Dory moments. Yes, "stroke" was actually a brain bleed in three different places from coumadin levels that were too high. He was traveling from our house in FL to his house in PA. Got as far as Richmond, VA when he told my mom he had to go to the hospital. They took him by ambulance to a small little hospital, then life flighted him to a major medical center in Richmond.

If it was to happen, it happened at the best location. My ex-SIL and my niece and nephew lived a half hour away from the hospital. The ex's let my mom stay there with them the entire time, except when the hospital staff recommended she sleep in the hospital. They treated it as though it were a stroke, but the cause was coumadin levels that suddenly went very high.

Prior to this, my parents spend 5 months of the year with us in FL. The distance has been hard on all of us, but especially Anakin.

I accidentally dropped one of my medicines yesterday on the floor without realizing it and spent the entire day paying for it. Just glad I know now what went wrong. I hope everything is a bit more relaxed for you!

I will keep your dad in my prayers and hope that the surgery goes smoothly and his vision sees (oops, now that was a pun! ) some improvement after surgery.

Thankful Megan WAS better, praying today goes well! NYC was great and I was happy to sell some junk! Still having knee problems and hope to have enough money/time to get it checked out soon. Thanks for the prayers!

I hope you can get your knee problems checked out at some point! Praying for a calm in your family's storm soon, so you cna get your problems figured out. Somehow my wording seems poor here, please don't read too much into it.

Tracy, I would want to do exactly those three things you have planned, LOVE WICKED!!!! THANK YOU for the prayers! It was a bit nerve wracking let them handle the appt, but they were GREAT as always!
I Wicked too! I still think For Good is Judy and Lisa B's song.

I think your relationship with your sister sounds a lot like mine... She told me to go off all my medicines and then I would have no problems. She claims it's all in my head. Oh, to be completely oblivious to the reality of the situation... I'm glad your immediate family is an incredible group, makes up for comments like those.

I am glad for the positives on this thread because there are so many in need. It's hard to read sometimes, but I try to understand. Sorry if my words ever come off wrong, I feel for everyone, no one's problem is small, everyone is in my prayers. I hope to see more positive stories soon!

Oh, Judy!!! My heart goes out to you as you are meeting with you Dad's Oncologist today. Hoping they can answer some of your questions and get him into the ENT sooner than later. Just know everyone here is thinking of your family!

So much to catch up on .....The NY pics are great. Haven't been in a few years but LOVE NY!! So glad Lisa's site is closing finally!!! Hate to hear her levels are all over the Board. Any word on why? Fantastic on the pixie dust from Cajunfun - the pics were priceless!! The kids faces were really lite up - you can see their excitement. Keep bugging on the neuropsych appt. Not sure why they take so long to get scheduled. We have the same problems here - is there just not enough of them to go around?? My sister-in-law had to have one from her head injury and took a long time to get. Can you do in another city?

Prayers for everyone on the board - lots of you have had bad news this week. Praying for you all.

Congrats to those that have had positives that have occurred over the past week - let's all celebrate the small things!!

Need to ask for all of your prayers, please. I mentioned on one post that my DH was having back issues and headed toward surgery (degenerative spine disease). We are trying pain injections to help as the surgeon wants him to wait as long as possible before his surgery (fusion) as he knows that it will then start a chain reaction of the next disc failing. We are only 40!! His sister has this and has had numerous surgeries already. The first injection didn't help much at all but not sure if it takes the next to really see a difference. His next one is this weekend. Really praying it helps and he gets some relief. He's really worried and that makes me really worried. Sorry to ramble but I can't talk to him about it cause it will worry him that I'm worried.....

Judy - your family is GREAT! Ignore what others (family) say. The way they all have stepped in for you and others is amazing!!!

As many of you have said - and as we all need to remember - miracles do happen!!

Take care everyone - Alyson

What a GREAT sister!!! Mine is who she is and I love her anyway...just like she loves me in spite of myself. I am so happy things are doing well as they can on the medical front! Good (compliant) patients are hard to find! Glad the progression is slow and you KNOW I believe in the positive (that is why they call me Pollyanna...which I watched part of Sunday...needed some reinforcement)!

I found your PTR, have you always had that link in your siggie and i just missed it ? SO happy for you!

Ruth, Huge prayers for you as you continue to heal and improve. Thank you for sharing the tip about the aspirin, you very well may have saved someone's life...everybody just check with your doc to make sure you can take an aspirin. I pray your recovery is swift...and yes my Princess is a fighter and sends you HUGE HUGS. She said to tell you it will get better!

Thanks!!! All the prayers will be great! They are only going to do a type of pill that will shrink her lymph nodes at this point (cancer in in a lymph node int he breast?) with her age and other medical issues. I hope it works and gives her lots more quality time with us. I know that God is watching her and has her well being in his hands. And if He should choose to take her sooner than later, that is His choice and she has my grandfather waiting for her in Heaven! I just want her here......

Thanks for the prayers! And here is a good story for you: I never got a call back after my last interview for a job.... again . And we all know how tight money is these days..... Anyway.... my same grandma with cancer had just sold her house for just about nothing- but it had lots of issues.... but either way, she is sending my family a bit of money to help with the bills! I love my grandma! It is supposed to be a surprise to us, but my mom couldn't keep it secret lol. I know it won't be much, but I was praying praying for an answer to some unpaid bills- and now I have an answer! God is great! And so is my grandma!

I really hope the pill helps her out, it is quite understandable that you want her here for many more years. Love the wording about how it is HIS choice. Sorry to hear about your grandfather.

Oh no, sorry to hear you didn't get the job. I am not there so it is easy for me to be optimistic, but I do believe that you will get the right job one of these days, hopefully someday sooner than later! Your grandmother sounds like a saint! What a lovely lady!

Thank you for asking about my cousin's son, Austin. Prayers are being answered everyday. He has been moved to Shepherd Spinal Center in Atlanta. He is doing well with his rehab. He has been able to stand up and walk around some. He is having some trouble with his memory. At this point, the doctors do not know if it is permanent or due to the brain injury. He does have some lack of movement of his left side. Once again, they do not know if this is permanent or due to the brain injury that was on the right side. Considering that they didn't know if he was gonna make it through the first night after the accident, I think he is doing remarkably well. He still has a long road of recovery ahead of him, but he seems like he is on the right track.

I so wish you didn't have to deal with medical stuff every day.

I Wicked too! I still think For Good is Judy and Lisa B's song.
For those who don't know the song...

(Elphaba):
Im limited
Just look at me - Im limited
And just look at you
You can do all I couldn't do, Glinda
So now it's up to you
For both of us - now it's up to you...

(Glinda):
I've heard it said
That people come into our lives for a reason
Bringing something we must learn
And we are led
To those who help us most to grow
If we let them
And we help them in return
Well, I don't know if I believe that's true
But I know I'm who I am today
Because I knew you...

Like a comet pulled from orbit
As it passes a sun
Like a stream that meets a boulder
Halfway through the wood
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
But because I knew you
I have been changed for good

(Elphaba):
It well may be
That we will never meet again
In this lifetime
So let me say before we part
So much of me
Is made from what I learned from you
You'll be with me
Like a handprint on my heart
And now whatever way our stories end
I know you have re-written mine
By being my friend...

I think your relationship with your sister sounds a lot like mine... She told me to go off all my medicines and then I would have no problems. She claims it's all in my head. Oh, to be completely oblivious to the reality of the situation... I'm glad your immediate family is an incredible group, makes up for comments like those.

She does her best, we are different as night and day, though. It is NOT in your head and Thank goodness for good medicine!

I am glad for the positives on this thread because there are so many in need. It's hard to read sometimes, but I try to understand. Sorry if my words ever come off wrong, I feel for everyone, no one's problem is small, everyone is in my prayers. I hope to see more positive stories soon!
Life isn't always positive of course, BUT to see the bright and good amidst the dark clouds is a gift I am thankful for! And NO WORRIES about how you write, I truly DO have good discernment and really am in-tune to people. I know when someone is dissing me, even if I don't call them on it and you my dear, are not.

God Bless you Alyson, THANK YOU!!
Lisa's coumadin bounces al over because she is a child...she is unique...and it is LISA! NO other explanation. That is why she has to be monitored so closely, as Tink's Dad proves, this medicine is dangerous. Lynn was (as always) so generous. It really is amazing how that just perked up our weekend! I would HAPPILY take Christian somewhere else for the neuropsych appt. How is your SIL doing now?
Prayers for everyone on the board - lots of you have had bad news this week. Praying for you all.
Congrats to those that have had positives that have occurred over the past week - let's all celebrate the small things!!
AMEN!!! And LOOK for the positives, no matter how bleak there ARE good things!!!
HUGE, HUGE Prayers for relief and that this second one will do the trick to give the much needed/deserved relief!
Judy - your family is GREAT! Ignore what others (family) say. The way they all have stepped in for you and others is amazing!!!
Thank you Alyson. I know there are those who wish ill because I am happy and they want to bring me down. NOT my family, but I know because you should see some of the correspondence I have received). I pray for them, they are clearly unhappy souls.
As many of you have said - and as we all need to remember - miracles do happen!!
Take care everyone - Alyson
Amen again, Miracles are ABUNDANT!!! Just look for them!!!

Jenn, your grandmother is an amazing woman for many reasons an I am so incredibly thankful her heart was moved to share her blessings with you. I KNOW you have struggled! THANK YOU for sharing!!!
