Trip #8; But Was It Great? A WDW MAYcation with a side of LegoLand & Celebration, FL!
Hello and welcome to my TR!
Most of you already know me so I will skip the big long intros. But for those of you who don't know me: My name is Shelly and we are a family of 4 from PA, near Pittsburgh. Today is DH & my 14th anniversary!  We have 2 boys 10 ½ and 13. We started going to WDW in 2005 when the boys were 4 & 6 and we have since then taken 8 trips! We just love it and can't get enough! I wish I could say that each and every trip was perfect, but that's just not the case. Some have been wonderful and some have just been okay. Unfortunately the trip we just returned from falls into the 'okay' category. For several reasons: late flight down on arrival day, big crowds on some days, extremely HOT, DS & I getting sick, and lots of issues at our resort. BUT, we did still manage to have a ton of fun and had lots of great meals. And you know I took pictures of it all – the good, the bad, and the ugly. So lots to come!! We stayed at the Beach Club for the very first time. I will be sharing about our resort experience, fun in the parks, many dining experiences, a new experience for us at DTD, and about our very first off-site side trip! DS13 just turned 13 three weeks before our trip, so since the trip fell right between that and our anniversary we celebrated them both at WDW!  I look forward to sharing our WDW journey with all of my DIS friends and hope to make some new friends along the way too. I hope you all enjoy!

 That's not usually the case for me. But I'd better not write too much, or I may be bumped down.  I can't wait to hear all about your trip. I trust it gets better after the resort problems. From the sound of things, you had some good dining experiences. That's always nice! I'm disappointed that the overall trip was just OK. I had predicted it would be at the top of your trip list. But come to think of it, I am usually wrong on any predictions.  So next time, if I tell you your trip will suck, you are in for a fabulous time.  That is a great family photo at DHS! One of your best yet!HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!

The trip does get better. It just never really got off to a great start and then all the resort issues just made for it being 'just okay'. Nothing terrible, just not our best trip ever by any means. So yes, maybe you should tell me our next trip will suck!  I was so glad to find that family pic when I was going through all the pics when we got home.
