8 months till I check in for my third stay. The first was in 2002 with my parents while I was on my CP. Got a great third floor, corner room with a river view in building 6 on my cast member rate. It was awesome.
Second stay was in 2008 again with my parents and my sister. Separate rooms but again 3rd floor in building 3. That was when it became my dad's favorite resort. He loves the water taxi to DTD. Our third stay we just booked with the Military Salute discount. This time it is 3 rooms since my brother and his GF are coming. And this year it's my parent's 40th wedding anniversary so I am hoping to do something special for them. I can almost hear the jazz and taste the beignets. And I think I spelled that wrong. |

Just booked our 3rd straight stay at POFQ! Heading down 4/25-5/4! We had an up to 35% off room offer that we were able to use for 20% off! The other Mods are at 30% off...but we love it here so much that we were willing to suck it up! 93 days to go!!! YAY!

Hi All
![]() Just introducing myself. DH and I are going July 14-20 alone without the kids (ages 22, 18). This will be our first time at POFQ. We've stayed at the Dolphin, CBR, Beach Club, Pop Century with about 15 plus visits to WDW and this is our first time alone for the whole stay! I can't wait to visit again and read your thread! |

We usually go during this time under free dining- most of the time under bounce back. There are usually 2 weeks mid October excluded- usually around Columbus day

We have stayed in French Quarter 5 times now. Although this is still my favorite resort at WDW I was a bit disappointed this time. For the first time a majority of the buses also went through Riverside. In the past the AK bus would go thru POR but none of the others. In the 50+ days we have stayed at POFQ I bet only 4-5 times had we been forced to sit thru the POR stops. This year...90% of the time we ended up going thru POR. That made a 7min bus ride to Epcot into a 27-30min ride. In my opinion it took away one of the major advantages of staying at FQ. This may be old news to some but to me it was a first.

waiting for June and the new rates to be released so I can book our 2014 mas vacation. Trying to decide between POFQ or POR...any pros or cons that you may have? I just want to have all in order so I know what I am booking. as for FD, ya, not holding my breath-we will go either way. I budget for the meals and if we get FD, well, that is bonus spending money!

This is my first time on this site as a registered user though used it extensively a few years back before our first trip to Disney with the fam. Stayed in CSR then but definitely want to stay at POFQ this time around. My question is how long in advance do we need to book a room? We're planning to be at WDW from August 9th - 17th. Since POFQ is a much smaller resort, do we need to book now, or are we already behind the curve?
Thanks to any and all for any advice given... |

Just had a wonderful 2 night stay at POFQ. We were in room 5323 (king room) and loved the view! We wished it had a balcony to be able to listen to the river but from inside and outside the room it was nice! The food court was amazing as always and we used the boat a few times which was great and the bus to MK was great as well. The pool was warm unlike last March when we stayed there and the hot tub was wonderful as well!
At check-in the CM didn't set a credit limit for charging but thankfully we found that out at the resort gift shop so it was an easy fix. Housekeeping was great upon arrival and the one day that we had it. To me, it always feels like "home" staying there because of it's small size and great service IMO. We stayed one night at GF before POFQ and it was hard to leave GF but upon arriving I felt at ease and at home + overall we had a great stay!!
