I'm going to FQ in less then a month.
I've never been there, yet I feel like I know everything about the hotel from reading all the comments.

A few more questions:

1. I noticed on the portorleans.org site, it mentions caricatures and hair braiding. Do these still exist?

2. Does anybody know when the August recreation calendar will be available?

3. Can somebody give details as to the poolside activities (games, 3pm pool party)? I see what they are in the schedule, I was just wondering whether these were CM-led activities and how well-attended they were, particularly by kids?

I can help a little. Last month we saw caricatures being done in the lobby. Can't say I saw any hair braiding going on.

I know at the pool there were cast member led activities. Lost of music and dancing. They'd throw little toys in the pool and saw who could pick up the most. I overheard some trivia games. I know they gave out those mardi gras beaded necklaces. It looked like a nice amount of kids participated. Prob. mostly looked to be under 10 years of age or so. They all seemed to be enjoying it.

that is probably about all that will fit in them. They are maybe 2" deep and about the size of an ipad. They lock with a key you have to take with you. No keypad to lock it with or credit card swipe.

Look at post #112 and you will see a photo of a safe. It is from an All Star Resort but the same type is in POFQ
