They are fine. They are the small ones that are attached to the wall. I'm here now and have been using it.

We requested building 4 for our trip in November. Is it close to transportation and food? It looked like it on the map but I'd love to hear your first hand account!

The resort layout puts everything close to food and buses, but we have stayed in bldg. 4 before and have similar sentiments. We never want to leave FQ to come home. When we stay at another resort, we miss FQ.

I'm thinking a bus to the MK and then the monorail to the Poly.

Thanks,
Linda
That is the quickest way. Take the bus to MK and jump on the resorts loop.

Hair dryers worked OK for wife and DD while we were there. No need to pack one.

We went to all four parks, DTD, and Blizzard Beach, at all times of the day, and only had to pick up at POR that one time, heading to DHS around dinner time.
That is such great news! We always go in September or early October and although we don't share that many buses, DHS, AK and the waterparks have almost always been shared. We are there over Independence Day next year so I'm hoping we will see a similar pattern with fewer shared buses. It is the one reason I won't even consider staying at POR. That bus loop would drive me nuts over 2 weeks

Seriously?! Well yes! I asked here for a suggestion since it was our first time at POFQ and was looking for opinions...I appreciated his recommendation but thought his "car shopping" remark was a bit snarky. I did get a very helpful opinion from another poster.
I don't really see why you felt the need to comment if you weren't going to add anything
useful.

This is the "back" of building 4 with standard view, 2 minutes to the bus stop beyond the vehicles and 2 minutes the other way to the food court.

By the way, I forgot to mention that you might like to have a look at a fairly extensive page I wrote on the whole subject of Port Orleans room locations and requests at www.portorleans.org/room-requests.php. That might give you some extra tips.

However as I said in my original reply, I think a river-view room in building 6 should work out really well for you (and asking for a river view is perfectly valid for a King Bed booking incidentally, it does not mean an upgrade). Somewhere like this:

Building 6 is also reasonably close for the main building and the bus stop, and not too far from the pool and the river ferry dock.

There are some pics earlier in this thread, and also in my news posting about the lobby re-opening at www.portorleans.org/news.php#190713. I've got some more pics, but I still need to sort out all my recent trip photos.

In the meantime, this scrollable panorama gives you a good idea of how it looks: www.portorleans.org/images/panoramas/POFQ-Main-2013-2752-pano360.swf
