When we stayed at POR one bus picked up both at the parks.

If the buses are being shared, you will get on a general "Port Orleans" bus at the parks and that will most likely go to Port Orleans first and then the Riverside stops.

They are being sold and activated at the registers now, and the sensors to control the drinks machines will be activated on Monday 19th August.

I have a rather weird question but hopefully someone can answer
My partner is diabetic (insulin dependant), in the parks we don't particularly want to put his insulin in any first aid places because it means walking back and forth all day.
So I was wondering if there's anywhere on POFQ and AKL where he could put an ice pack in a freezer?

I don't know about freezing ice packs, but have you seen insulin cooling cases? They look a lot easier to deal with than having to fetch ice packs back and forth. I've even thought about getting one to protect our epinephrine on extremely hot days.

Sorry! FRIO insulin cooling cases. It would probably help if I included their name.

Nope I've not seen those, never even heard of FRIO (British here )
My partner has a cool bag kinda thing, but I don't think it would keep the insulin cool enough in the day.
What do these FRIO bags do that cool bags don't?

We were able to grab a Garden View room with the free dining discount for November. Normally i'd book a River view room but it wasn't available. We'd like to be close to the river front and Old Man Island bridge. Would you think thats asking too much for a room request? Would you phrase it any differently?

You soak it in water and it is supposed to keep your insulin cold for a minimum of 45 hours, even in an environmental temperature of 38.8 Celcius ( 102 F). I just googled their website to make sure I had those numbers correct.

If the other solutions don't work out for you, I expect the resort could do something for you via the front desk / bell services.
