160 days and I will be at POFQ with my boyfriend. I cannot wait to show him around. It is just the two of us! So romantic!

Thank you! I will try that. We also got 'stuck' with a Riverview room (bc of the FD promo) when we wanted a standard or GV so they told us to ask at check-in to switch and they would adjust the price if there was one available. Has anyone had that experience? Also...do you have the resort direct phone number by chance?

You will find numbers here on the DIS and online in general that are stated as being direct numbers to the resorts. There are NO numbers that will get you connected to any WDW resort directly. The numbers you will find listed for individual resorts all route to a call center. The CM answering the phone will answer like they are at the resort depending on what line you come in on. If you come in on the POFQ line they will answer like they are at POFQ. Even if you call the front desk from your room at any WDW resort, you will actually reach the call center. Disney wants their CMs that are at the resort to interact with the guests actually face to face with them. Could the CM at the call center transfer you to POFQ? Yes, they could. However, they are trained to do everything in their power to not do that.

Since we're counting - I've got about 174 days and I'm way too excited!! Nearly 6 months...I should settle down.

Meanwhile, my adult cousin is there for her very first time, so I'm traveling vicariously through her...

44 days, 9 hours and 55 minutes until we leave the house for the 16ish hour drive to POFQ!! Cannot wait! I haven't been thinking much about it lately, we've been enjoying the summer...but now that the kids are getting ready to go back to school I will be focusing on our surprise trip!! Can't wait!

I just called Disney about the refrigerator situation at POFQ and they told me that they expect them to be replaced by our Sept 6th trip...

For what this info is worth, thought I should share.

We've always gone this last week, leading up to Labor Day and it's been wonderful. I find the crowds are reasonable and we've had Free Dining each time. This is our first time at a Mod and I can't wait. I'm so glad we chose POFQ---while the other mods seem to have their pluses and minuses, I hear nothing but good about POFQ.

My kids don't start school until the Thursday after Labor Day, so plenty of time to get back into the swing of things after the trip!

Hope you have a great one!!!!!

Thanks for the info! That's good news. I need one for medication, so I'll probably call to make sure at the 10 day mark, just in case.

Cribs

I know this is probably in here somewhere but I forgot about another question. This will be our first trip with a little one (18months old) so how does the crib work. Is it a pack & play? Do we request it when we get there? Is there a fee bc we can just bring our own (driving)? Lastly...where do you put it? I am wondering if the space where bench is between the dresser & bathroom is big enough but having a hard time figuring out how something else will fit in these small rooms.

Thanks!

It's a pack n play and they'll supply you a fitted sheet for it as well. You can request it ahead of time, and they'll note it on your reservation or you can request for it at the front desk when you arrive. The last time I requested one, it was not in the room when we arrived so I just called the front desk to remind them of the request. There's no fee for it. We were at a Value at the time so there weren't any benches, but the bench is easy enough to move over to the closet space area so you can put the pnp in its place instead.
