Ideas for trip for 12 year old boys!
It is now the boys turn to be taken on their Disney World adventure, so please help me, as the girls have had their trips, and boys and girls are so different!!! That being said, I prepared "gift bags" for the girls that had sunscreen, lip balm, drink packets, female hygience products, etc., but I need some opinions as to
1) what to include for the boys; OR 2) Do boys really care about this stuff, and should I just use the $$ for this for something they want in a gift shop?? Thanks in advance for help

My son was almost 12 last time we went to WDW. He wasn't really interested in that sort of thing. I got him and my DD8 a small backpack each to carry their "stuff" (jacket, rain poncho, money, sunglasses, autograph book, etc) and they were good with that. If they have a camera, that would go in the backpack as well. If not, maybe a cheap digital camera or a few disposable cameras would take the place of the goodie bag? Just as an FYI, my son is VERY interested in making sure he gets the equivalent of what his sister gets, but he really didn't want anything like a goodie bag. I guess we've finally hit "that age"!

Thanks! I might just be the back pack carrier and keep up with their items, since boys sometimes do not keep up with stuff like girls lol

My ds
Hi.
My son wasn't interested in a gift bag or accessories. He was most interested in rides and snacks. He loved the refillable mugs at the resort. He helped choose restaurants based on menus. We let him wait in the single rider line so he could squeeze in multiple rides of his favorites. The magic of our trip was very different than that with our DD. Best wishes to you and your son. |
