Best place to stay in Port Canaveral

We are staying in Orlando for 6 days before the cruise but I want to stay in Port Canaveral the night before - any reccomendations on where to stay? We have two kids 8 & 10.

We are staying at the country inn and suites. They offer a park and cruise package so we can leave our vehicle there while we are on the fantasy and take their shuttle to the port.

Have you stayed there before? We are thinking of renting a car in Orlando and then dropping it off at the Port. We are heading home the day the cruise ends so won't need the car anymore.

Hampton Inn offers a snooze & cruise package and they set you up with shuttle and all. Great deal and it's close to the beach and lots of stores and restaurants in walking distance!

We've stayed at the Residence Inn a couple of times. Very good for families, close to the port and it has a really good free breakfast.

The first time we stayed at the Radison. Never again. The shuttle to the port was horrible as there were. 3 ships in port and nearly 100 people needing the shuttle. The next time we stayed at the Residence Inn it was so much better. Clean wonderful free breakfast buffett. Nice pool and hot tub. The people were nice too. If you have a hertz rental it is just steps away.

No...We stayed at the Radisson before and had a horrible experience with the shuttle, so we are trying the country inn and suites this time. Sorry I couldn't help more. You could look it up on tripadvisor and see what people say about it.

We've stayed at the Residence Inn and had a good stay -- close to port and great free breakfast. Room was clean and comfy.

For our upcoming cruise, we're trying the Country Inn and Suites because the rate was about $50 less.

Thanks everyone - just booked Country Inns. Was going to go with Residence Inn but the Country Inns was cheaper and had kids themed rooms so I thought they'd like that.
