We booked today!!!! So excited!!!! We are staying at Pop and our dates are October 22-29. That is the same week we went in 2011 and we thought it was perfect. Not too crazy crowded, perfect weather, awesome MNSSHP (we're planning to go again), and Food and Wine. Does it get any better? We aren't getting the dining plan unless there is free dining or stay, play, and dine. DH is diabetic and I don't want beverages other than water with my meals so I think it will be cheaper to pay out of pocket. I am having a bit of sticker shock that the rack rate seems to have gone up A LOT from 2011 if you figure tickets, dining, and resort. I'm worried in a few years we won't be able to afford Disney cause we can hardly afford it now and DH's salary is definitely not going up as fast as Disney's prices. Oh well, nothing we can do about it and I have planning to do! I must hurry, only 8 months to go! Oh, I requested to join the FB group.

I'm looking at October 18/19 - 26. But if they don't release some kind of discount - any discount - I may have to rework dates. I'm planning on staying at POP and it will be my first solo trip but it's going to be on a tight budget because I can't jeopardize my trip with my daughter the following year

Hi all!
October is looking to be a possibility for us. Dates are not yet "set" as school calendars for next year have not been released. However, it will be as late in October as possible (I'm hoping for arriving on the 20th and leaving out on the 25th). This is all pending finances (as DH will only give me a certain amount to spend for a trip ) and health. I applied to the FB group last night (my userpic is my kiddos after their Mermaid and Captain Hook transformations).Fingers are crossed for a nice discount and healthy family so we can make this happen! I've already booked and had to cancel twice so far this year. Third time is a charm, right?

I'm taking a big family trip Oct 9-17. It's going to be four generations hanging out. I'm pretty excited. I believe that we will be staying at the Boardwalk. I'm not 100% positive about that yet.

So it looks like it will be early October for us! The school calendar was finally released (not sure why they were so greedy with it
). If all goes to plan, we'll arrive on the 6th and head back out on the 11th. DH may end up adding a day or two with the F&W Festival. We still aren't sure where we will stay -- POP, POFQ, or offsite are the places we're considering. It will depend on the deals released. ![]() This will be our first MNSSHP event. I'm super excited! A PTR will eventually come (probably in May, after Finals are over and I have more time) and I'll share where and when we plan to tackle things! One thing is for sure, I'll be sporting my LGMH on my fabulous custom D bag. I just hope the Evil Queen loves my bag as much as I do! ![]() Oh, one more thing ... we will be surprising our kids. I don't want to tell them we are going and it fall through (again). I can't handle their hearts breaking (it's bad enough when it's my own). So we'll surprise them somehow. I have no clue what I'll do or how I'll do it ...

Look for the calendar in 2 or 3 weeks. Sept calendar was delayed about a week.

Hi - we are trying to decide between a couple of different dates and I'm hoping you guys can help. Going for 19 days in October. We normally go in May so i don't have much experience with going in October. Originally we decided to go 9/29-10/18 at BCV. But now I'm toying with idea of going late October and first few weeks in November - perhaps catch MNSSHP, F&W and MVMCP. Crowds are a consideration and seems there are a lot of school vacations in the Fall. Another factor is the weather in deciding when to go. Does anyone have a particular preference or can share experiences? I'd be really grateful! Thanks!

We just made our reservations for Sept 29-Oct. 18 at BCV. We're so excited. Hoping the weather's nice and the crowds not too bad but hey, it's Disney. None of that matters. The minute we get off the plane, and take the tram to the main terminal everything's magical.
