Not as well as it should (only been running about once a week), but I plan on doing a fairly long run today.

I know how the "not as well as it should" goes. I've been doing that for about a year now.

Absolutely! It's not as if Disney hasn't been permeating my life or anything for the past, oh 30+ years.

Did I ever tell you that "The Sting" is my all-time favorite movie? Yeah, a little bit of all what I described goes on there...and then some.

Of course it should be "doesn't" - I was attempting to illustrate my point. My educator of a wife would have had my hide for that post, if she were following along. However she spends her internet time on other time killers vs. The DIS, such as Words with Friends, Scrabble and other Facebook games.

Just do what I do and antagonize both of them equally. It's more fun that way.

Sign up right away. Don't run right away unless you have snow shoes. I've found a list of races in Wisconsin. Signing up is the hardest part.

Not sure how close these are to Racine, but there's gotta be something.

6 races in Racine (not counting the triathalons) between now and the end of September. There's a 10k Memorial Day weekend and a 10-miler a few weeks after that. One or both of those would be tough but not crazy goals. now to work on Connecticut....(I can get a lot done when I'm stuck on a boring conference call)

edit: I don't know what city Tim's in so it's hard to find races for him.

Excellent! I had forgotten about the Home Run & Walk for Foster Care 5K that Bambi's company sponsors. May 5th should give me just enough time to get back into shape for that one.

And as far as how close to Racine - there's one that starts a mile away from my house!

Wisconsin has a few of these - they do look like fun. Maybe if I can find one in the fall after I've gotten a few 5 or 10k under my belt...

Considering CT is only 100 miles east to west by 60 miles north to south, I'm sure I could make any race in the state easily. Plus I live in the middle of the state. The problem is finding a race that is run on the weekdays, considering I work almost every weekend.
