For WDW I have a question.
I booked dinner at the wave at the contemporary for new year's eve. And booked a night to stay over so we would be there for the fireworks (we live 2 hours away). I just saw on allears that the new year's fireworks display will be on the 30th! NOT actually on new year's eve. And new year's eve will have wishes and then close to midnight they are doing fantasy in the sky (the old fireworks show). WHY am i paying holiday prices for a holiday night (almost 200 bucks for a value room) when they aren't doing the new year's countdown and fireworks on new year's eve? Am i missing something??

Hi Jeanie,
You're in good shape; Disney just runs the NYE countdown on both the 30th and the 31st to help crowd control. People like me will watch the NYE fireworks at MK on the 30th and head over to EPCOT for the Illuminations countdown on the 31st. The NYE Fireworks will run both nights at 11:50, so your late night stay is not wasted! Unless you booked dinner for the earlier fireworks show on the 31st, which (I believe) is the standard Wishes show. Hope this helps! |

New Year's Eve Fireworks Cruise
Hey WDW,
We have rented a 10-person boat to take us onto the lake for the New Year's Eve late viewing of Illuminations, and we have 2 seats left. The music is piped into the boat to sync with the show, so it's a great way to get away from the crowds on land.
