Should I keep it? She said it could take weeks for me to get a new one I guess I'm nervous I won't get the bag I want!

Well, that makes me really want one then, as I love my DL55 and Princess wristlets because they are contained by their zippers. Just like the small mini comic barrel.

It's bigger than that. It's quite round, so the inside is a lot larger than a wristlet. But it's still a very small bag.

HI! Lulu'sMom is right, I have a lot to share on this topic

. I got my bag right after xmas. Mine had a bright orange spot at the top. I think it was from excess glue. My zipper was sluggish too from glue caught in it. I used the bag for between 2 & 3 weeks, very lightly and I had scuffing on all 4 corners, the leather on the strap and bottom slat were starting to crack, etc. I sent my bag to Dooney. They had it for about a week and declared it defective. Because they don't keep any stock on hand the issue was sent over to Disney to resolve. It took Disney at least 2 weeks to send out my replacement, 6 days from when they told me it was ready to go (about 3 weeks til it was in my hands). Now, they've since gotten better with their shipping. Perhaps mine got caught up in their warehouse move.

Anyway, I think there's a couple things to consider. One, look over the entire bag and see if there's anything else wrong. (I had stitching coming out on the strap and zipper too.) If it's just the orange, how much is it going to bother you? Maybe use the bag for a little bit and see how it wears. Then either take the discount or send it back as defective and get a new one. I suspect they're out right now because of the sale. I hope this helpes

I looked it over it's just the spot I'm bitting my nails nervous ! Lol I dunno if it's gonna bother me . I wish they would give me more than 40 gc my thing how about if I get one that I don't like and have to send that one back? Sounds like the same orange spot I have

I saw a few purple letter carriers at Disneyland the other day too, and it seems that color had been out of stock for ages. They're full price in the parks though.

Not a Dooney, but DD picked this out today for our upcoming trip! It was on clearance for $89 from $150 is a Disney Hay's suitcase. They had more adult images a few months back, but I did not need the suitcase then, so DD got to pick!

I would try calling back and asking to speak to a supervisor. I ultimately dealt with the "presidential "service" team but I think that's because it got referred by Dooney (and to be honest they weren't so great either). I would explain your situation: That you've now found 3 spots, that there are documented quality issues with these bags, that you're concerned about the placement you'll receive, that you want to hold onto this one until you can be sure they have one for you that's been checked over for defects...it's a $235 bag!!!! It shouldn't have these kind of quality issues. There's even a comment on DS.com about the leather scuffing. Tell them about this thread and the FB page. And if they can't help you ask for someone who can. I'm always really polite and quick to let the person on the phone know that I know it's not their fault. USually that does the trick. If you get someone rude get their name, hang up & call back and add that to your list of complaints. Again, this is not an inexpensive item...
