I just went in and did a booking for 4 people and am able see availability for all categories. I've tried all adults and various ages of kids and am still able to see availability in all categories. I even tried a booking for 5 people and was able to see availability for all categories that hold 5 people. Not sure what you are doing that it's not showing you the availability.

If you wait 20 minutes or so things could change since we have both been looking on DCL's website.

Britster18,
You mentioned you are thinking of a category 4C (deluxe family verandah). Another option you can explore is to get one verandah cabin (e.g. cat 7A) for double occupancy, and then get another one inside cabin (e.g. cat 11B) for triple occupancy. I just checked in your case, the total in this scenario before any OBC is $5834. It won't be connecting of course but if you can find cabins that are very close or just on the other side of the hallway, it maybe a good option. You have literally more square footage, an extra queen bed, and an extra bathroom, and you'll still have the verandah. However, this obviously has limitation as you can't have everyone all in a room (well, technically you can )Worth to check it out. There are definitely several options to book when you have 5 people. |

I think we are all playing around the different scenarios that are "screwing up" disney website
I guess there are only so many category 8's cabins that you can book for 5. Once the threshold is reached, even other category 8's can hold 5, it doesn't allow you to do it.

I would recommend the verandah/inside combo for them given the ages of their children.

Yeah, the issue is the 2 adults 3 kids. If I try that, the only availability is Cat. 4 a-b-c Verandah, and Concierge.
But if I only put in 2 adults I get availability in pretty much every category. |

No worry. Sometimes for other cruiselines (such as Royal Caribbean or Holland America) we have the option to pay in CAD or USD. I can choose either option when thru the local TA, but the US-based TA can only do USD, of course. But I actually like the services, transparency and responsiveness of the online US-based TA more than more local TA. Depends on the exchange rate, what OBC I could be getting, and if we have other land-based travel arrangement that we need TA's assistance, we'll choose the one that fits us best.

I had to reset my browser and it came back up.
I think we are going to stick with an 8C cat. for 5050.35 with a 250 OBC... That's more our budget for our first time trying to figure everything out. They had rooms available, forward, deck 7 and about 4-5 rooms open for deck 8 in the aft. I'm going to ask my TA to switch to one of the aft ones on deck 8 |
