November 2012...Let's Countdown Together

Add us to the November 2012 Trip People! We are actually doing our FIRST Disney Cruise...leaving the Sunday before Thanksgiving (Nov. 18th ) and returning the Wed before Thanksgiving. Our actual trip dates are not definite yet for our park/resort stays but right now I THINK we will try to arrive Friday Nov. 16th and then depart the parks on Saturday Nov. 24th.

We still have a lot to figure out for this trip. The cruise dates are set...the rest is not yet. Will we drive or fly or take the Autotrain? Where will we stay? I have a PTR link in my siggy as I plan this all out...as well as my upcoming adults-only March 2012 trip!

I will jump in. We will be going Nov 2012, most likely around veterans day, so DS doesn't miss as much school. We will be staying at AKL CL.
I plan on booking our room in the next month or so to ensure we have what we want. I also already have tentative daily plans made based on this Nov calendar.
My question is whether we do MVMCP or not.

We're in for Nov 23 - Dec 1. Last trip was 10 years ago so I am verrry excited. Unfortunately my DS who is 15 doesn't want to go. Any tips for teens with attitudes?

We are getting ready to book for Nov 3-10. Just waiting on my lovely DD14 to decide if she wants to go or not. I gave her until March 1 to decide. I hate hate hate to take the kids out of school but this is the last time all 5 of us will get to go together . I have struggled with the dates but after much debate we feel that week will be best for all of us.

I also, have REALLY struggled with dates and school and sports schedules...leaving us, as a family of four with only Thanksgiving week to consider...which means paying MUCH higher prices and larger crowds. About a month ago, when my 14yo DD looked at me and said "why don't you just take DD#3?!?" I was shocked!!! I couldn't imagine going to WDW without my 15yo and 14yo! But, my older two DD concur...they feel, they have been enough times. (Really?!? who do these children belong to?!?) SOOOOOOOO, I sat down and planned a trip for the first week in December...3-7th, 2012. The prices are MUCH lower, the crowds SHOULD be smaller; my youngest doesn't have any schedules to really work around. I am SO excited for some alone time with my youngest DD. I am still subscribed to Nov 2012 but, I had to start a new one for December...still a long way off but, so happy to be planning.

My family hasn't been there in 9 years (10 next year when we go). I couldn't believe it when my son said he didn't want to go-he is obviously not thinking clearly. I have even offered to bring his friend. My daughters want to go but my husband is thinking the money could be better spent, something about college. My mother passed away last June. She didn't leave a will and lived 550 miles away. I only have a brother who has made the whole process a mess and I am the personal representative for my mom's estate. I decided that we were going as a family to Disney World and we are all going to have a good time!!!!! There really isn't a good time to go with everyone's schedule so Thanksgiving week is the date.

Anyone here regularly do the week after Thanksgiving? Seems like kind of a popular week here on the dis, wasn't sure if it was in the regular world or not...

I really like the idea of heading down the Friday they all have off anyway. I have no problem taking them out of school for the following week but like having an extra travel day so we can start any time of day....

But then I think about going in January and how convenient it would be for their gifts to be spending money at wdw. ACK!!

But then i think about seeing all the Christmas decorations and decorating a cabin at Ft. Wilderness and ..and..

Will I ever decide??!! LOL

We are booking this Saturday for Nov. 24-Dec. 1, 2012! Renting points through a friend who owns at DVC, staying at AKV Kidani. Excited to travel with my sister and her family who will be taking their kiddos for the first time. Cannot wait!

Confirmed part of our trip yesterday. Taking the Autotrain down from Lorton, VA to Florida and departing on Thursday Nov. 15th, arriving in Florida on Friday Nov. 16th. We will then spend two nights in a 2BR villa at Saratoga Springs Resort. Sunday morning we'll drive out to Port Canaveral and board the Disney Dream for our 3-night cruise. Wednesday morning Nov. 21st we'll return from the cruise and hopefully we'll check back into Saratoga Springs, this time in a Treehouse Villa, where we'll stay for 3 more nights.

I'm really looking forward to having Thanksgiving Dinner in a treehouse!

We went to WDW for the first time ever in November 2011. We had such a great time that we are hoping to go again in November 2012. Just waiting to hear if and when the free dining plan will be offered!

Hi Everyone! We will be at BCV Nov. 21-24, 2012 for Thanksgiving. Since we will be doing 2 beach trips in the RV and going to Hawaii this year we had to squeeze in a short Mouse trip.

We have booked 8th-23rd we usually go in July so it is going to be strange...crowd and weather wise but looking forward to it.

We're booked at the Dolphin November 20th - 25th, and we're moving over to POR for the 25th - 30th. So excited to spend another Thanksgiving at Walt Disney World! It will be our first split-stay, so I'm looking forward to seeing how that works for our family.

For those of you having trouble getting teenagers on board for your trip, you may want to check out the website DisneyForTeens. There might be some things there that could help get them more interested!

Does anyone know when "Be Our Guest" is expected to open?
