2012 Trip Release DATE per ABD - The DIS Discussion Forums

Spoke with "SUE" at ABD today and she said 2012 trips to be released in late August this year. Not sure why later than usual. If you want you can be put on a list and they will call you once trip details are released. They want to know which ones you are or would be interested in.

I spoke to Sue yesterday. I wish she had mentioned that so I could have been on the list without calling back. Momof3, do they want to know which trips we're interested in that they already offer, or do they want to know which trips we would like to see them offer in the future? If it's the latter, I want to put some thought into before I call. They've never seemed to want input of that sort on any of their surveys. So it's interesting that she said that.

She wants to know what trips you would be interested in, whether they are currently offered or not. But, it is so they can call you (once next years trips are revealed), and let you know if that type of trip is available, and discuss details. I did not get the impression it was because they wanted our input for the future. However, I did say that I would love to see a trip that goes to Normandy, because it is something I want my family to see. She could not offer details of what was coming up, other than they had "wonderful things planned". Hope she is correct!

I know it is her job, but the few times I have talked with SUE, she has always been so very helpful and friendly!

I agree. I believe she is the same Sue who handled my cancelled trip in 2009. At that time I sent an email to ABD telling them how helpful she was.

Sue handled my canceled 2009 trip also. I spoke to her recently, and she *remembered* me from that! She's *extremely* helpful!

I didn't talk to Sue today, but another ABD rep who was as helpful and friendly as you could hope for! I put in my request to be contacted--and yes, toward the end of August--noting I would be interested in Greece and Hawaii. She confirmed there were new and exciting things ahead.

.....considering the history of Greece the wait could be very,very long....

We just returned from Rocky Trails and Mountie Tales and it was beyond wonderful. Just spoke to a rep and tried to book Southwest Splendours next April and told only one adult only trip is planned. I guess we have to look at Tauck.

Oh well, guess ABD is not interested in kids vacation times.
