That's so funny that you live here! Are you going to the DisMeet over Labor Day?

She's adorable =)

I think the idea of giving her presents each day is a great idea! This will be such a special thing for her! My DH and I stayed on property when we went in November and I was so excited when we got our towel animal! I am 28 and it still excited me, my DH thought I was crazy He's a bigger Disney addict than I am!

I can't wait to read all about your DD reactions as she meets all the wonderful characters at Disney.

Unfortunately no, we are going to Disney World for the weekend! We have some Southwest credits that expire in October so we thought we had better use them up. Funny, because I wanted to go to the Indy meet last year and my DD and I ended up taking a Mommy/daughter trip to Disney for the weekend too!

Can't wait to hear what else you have planned, and how everything else turns out.

Life Update - 4th of July

[B]I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday weekend. We had some family visiting from D.C. and every second was jam packed with fun. Hope you enjoy the photos - We are officially less than 3 months from our trip!

Here is Patrick and I at the Indy Rock and Roll BBQ Fest - We were watching the Gin Blossoms.

Fireworks in Our Backyard - I was nervous because Paisley kept wanting to hold the sparkler.

Yummy Red, White, and Blue Strawberries - From the Disney Family Fun Magazine!

Watching the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra at Symphony on the Prairie. When the played the 1812 Overature, Paisley said, "It's the Mean Queen song from Little Einsteins!"

Dollar Store Deals

I have been reading on the Family Threads about how to keep kids entertained in long lines, and I've picked up a few items lately that I hope will help to that end.

These are from the Dollar Store - Set of Princesses (need to get Cindy still) and Pop Rings.

These I found at the Christmas Tree Shops - Two packs with pages, crayons, and stickers and Little Einsteins coloring pages (for the condo).

I also got some Bobble bottles for DH and I for practically free online (the pink one is mine)

Food for the Condo/ADR's

We are staying at Orange Lake, and our plan is to eat two out of three meals each day there. I have been "stockpiling" items that I get weekly for free (or close to it). These are all the items I have so far - and none of them expire before October (DH was worried, so I check expiration dates)

Sunday - Garden Grove at 8PM

Monday -
Hollywood & Vine at 1PM
Tacos at the Condo for Dinner

Tuesday -
Rainforest Cafe at 1PM
Spaghetti at the Condo for Dinner

Wednesday -
Crystal Palace at 8:15 for Breakfast
Snacks at the Park for Lunch
Chicken Nuggets/Wings and Fries for Dinner at the Condo

Thursday -
Biergarten at 1PM
Sloppy Joes for Dinner at the Condo

Friday -
Earl of Sandwich for Lunch
Pizza at the Condo for Dinner

Of course....meals at the condo are subject to change should DD not need to leave for naps....we will plow on through at the parks if that is the case.

Thank you.....we had so much fun this weekend! I know some of our ADR's have had mixed reviews, but it's what worked best for our family, so we're going with it.

We've been to Hollywood and Vine (loved it, especially the desserts!), Crystal Palace (great as well; Paisley will love it!) and Earl of Sandwich (another great place!). Biergarten was on the list for this trip, but got cut out and we've been to the Rainforest Cafe, just not at Disney World. I give all of your choices a thumbs up!

Bad News

So, I just got a text message from the only parent whose child attends full-time that they are moving and she is no longer coming....effective immediately. That is pretty much ALL my Disney Fund $.

It looks like we may have to majorly revamp our Disney plans, and not in a good way

Thanks everyone for the well-wishes. I have changed our budget, and although I'm not necessarily happy about it, we cand deal

I have been hitting the road and filling out teaching applications, so hopefully I'll be able to have a real teaching job this year. If not, we will figure something out!
