Many months ago (possibly years), I was extremely excited to get to the 16-month mark so I could call and pencil in our date. That day was Monday (since the 7 was on Saturday), but I have yet to even make an effort to pick up the phone and call.

I just fell so blah about calling because I really can't do anything yet. I don't want to say that I feel like it's pointless to call at this point, but I don't have a better word for it. I want to call and get going, but I feel like nothing will happen regardless.

Blah.

Well, I *finally* called to pencil in my date. It made me laugh because they still had me in the system from our original date (January 2013). The lady was super-sweet and updated our info for November 2013. I still have the same consultant, too. Now, I just have to wait for her to call me back.

I am more than ready to get this show on the road. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to contain myself for a few more months. At least I have our trip in December to look forward to.

We just officially scheduled our site visit!

We're only going to see the Pavilion and Whitehall, but I want to know what they look like now with all the changes. I can't wait until December.

Hey! My mom told me that some girls are planning a meet up for all the disbrides going in December to Disney... I dont have facebook... I know crazy right! Of course, I plan on catching up with you while we are there, when is your last day at Disney? I really wanna be part of the disbrides meet ups, but she said they were planning it for Dec 8... my wedding day, and with whats going on there is no way we could make it (unless I could go into HS in my dress - I know they say no wedding gear inthe parks, but I heard HS sometimes lets you in... Of course I couldnt get on any rides). Im not sure if you have any of the other girls emails or phone numbers and I wouldnt mind any of the disbrides knowing my cell number. I can officially say we're almost there.

I got my email from our consultant, Pam, with the room block info.

Honestly, it was beginning to feel like this day would never come. And, I can now say that one year from this moment, I will gallivanting around the resorts taking post-reception pictures!

27 days until our site visit trip
181 days until our planning session trip (hopefully)
365 days until our wedding

I had heard a lot of "cough* fun *cough* stories about setting up the room block, so I was prepared.

Thankfully, since we have so few people and can only guarantee 4 nights at this point, we got the room block waived. I thought we could set up a block for 10 rooms, but it's 25 to set one up now. Oh well.

It would save us a little bit if we can get the room block, since we're hoping to stay at the Grand a couple of nights, but I'm not sure I will have anyone other than us staying on-property. Even if we do stay on property, we would only fill 12 nights, and I'd have to get 13 more . . .

Who knows. Maybe the fam will surprise me, and some of them will want to stay at Disney resorts.
