Podcast Cruise 3.0 - 06/24/2012

I am happy to announce the dates for Podcast Cruise 3.0!!!!!

06/24 - 06/29/2012 - 5-Night Disney Dream Sailing (2 Stops at Castaway Cay).

It's too early to give this cruise it's own Discussion Board yet (we'll wait until PCC 2.0 is over first) but I wanted to get you some information on this sailing.

First - this will be the first of two podcast cruises in 2012. We are having one early in the summer to try to accommodate those families with kids as well as our 'educators' who could not travel with us in the past. The second cruise will be announced once DCL releases the rest of the 2012 sail dates. We hope to sail again in early December.

Second - those of you booked on Podcast Cruise 2.0 that want to go on Podcast Cruise 3.0 please wait until you get on the ship and then rebook at that time. You will be eligible for any onboard booking perks that Disney Cruise Line offers as well as the shipboard credit from Dreams Unlimited Travel. We will be providing rebooking forms on PCC 2.0 to help you rebook this cruise while onboard.

Third - if you are not booked on Podcast Cruise 2.0 and want to cruise with us on Podcast Cruise 3.0 please use our online booking calculator and booking engine located here https://www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.co...-pricing-3.cfm - we have secured space and pricing on this cruise through Disney Cruise Line's groups department.

A small deposit now will secure your space on this sailing ($200 per person regardless of category). We will send you a balance due reminder well before the balance due date and if you need to cancel for any reason you can do so without penalty if cancelled before the balance due date. Suites have a non-refundable deposit as per DCL policy.

Obviously it is way too early too talk about any special plans for this cruise but you know we will do our best to make it a special and memorable experience for everyone.

We are extremely excited to announce that Kevin Kidney and Jody Daily will be on PCC 3.0!!

Kevin and Jody are two artists who have created the nostalgic and classic Disney parks merchandise for both Disneyland’s 55th Anniversary and Walt Disney World’s 40th Anniversary.

They will give a talk about creating the merchandise as well as provide a question and answer session. We are working with Disney Cruise Line merchandise to carry some of their items for sale in the gift shops but in case they don’t, make sure you bring something for them to sign.

Details and times will be provided closer to the sail date.

This cruise is currently all booked but if you email Tracey at TraceyH@DreamsUnlimitedTravel.com she will put you on the waitlist – we may see some cancellations as the final payment date approaches so space may become available.

Our Cruise is less than 3 months away!!!!!

I hope you’re getting as excited as I am.

We are working on the specifics of what we will be doing onboard and as those details are finalized we will do our best to keep you informed and up-too-date.

I am pleased to announce we are ready to start booking pre & post-cruise nights at the Walt Disney World Swan as well as Transfers to and from the cruise. We also have our system in place for you to sign up for your Podcast Cruise 3.0 event credentials.

You can book up to 3 pre and/or post-cruise stays at the Walt Disney World Swan in a Standard Room for $115/night plus tax (normal resort fees will be applied at check out). One night’s deposit plus tax is required for each reservation booked and balance due at check-in. We will not be able to accommodate full payment prior to check-in. You will have up to 5 days prior to your check-in date to cancel for a full refund, otherwise your one night’s deposit plus tax will be non-refundable.

Private DIS/Dreams Transfers are being offered for $50 per person roundtrip or $35 per person one-way. Buses will stop at any Walt Disney World Resort hotel or the Walt Disney World Swan. You will be able to tell us what resort you would like transportation to/from during the sign-up process. Transportation is non-refundable. Details of when the buses will be at each resort will be released much closer to sailing and sent to those who sign-up for transfers via email.

I know you probably have a lot of other questions and I think many will be answered as you step through the process.

Silent Auction on PCC 3.0 to benefit Give Kids the World!!!

Kathy Werling and Teresa Echols will be hosting a silent auction during Podcast Cruise 3.0. All proceeds will go to Give Kids the World.

Dreams Unlimited Travel as well as the members of the podcast team will be donating items.

If you have an item you would like to donate for the auction please contact Kathy at KathyW@DreamsUnlimitedTravel.com and/or Teresa at TEchols@DreamsUnlimitedTravel.com and they will be happy to work with you on making sure the items are displayed.

We are still working on the final schedule of all of the events for Podcast Cruise 3.0 and we will make sure everyone knows when/where the items will be on display for the silent auction as well as when final bidding will take place.

If you intend to bid on any item please make sure you bring cash or a check with you on the cruise as Give Kids the World cannot accept your Key to the World Card as payment

Again, details of this and all scheduled events will be released later. For now we are just looking for folks who might want to bring items for the auction to contact Kathy or Teresa.

Here is our ‘official’ schedule of events for Podcast Cruise 3.0. We invite you to attend as many or as few of these as events as you like. It’s your cruise and we want you to enjoy it. Please make sure you stop by our Hospitality Room (Fantasy Conference Room – Deck 5 midship) between 1 & 3 PM on embarkation day to pick up your credentials, which are required to attend all of our events. Those using DIS/Dreams transfers will receive your credentials in the mail prior to your cruise.

We have been informed by Disney Cruise Line that they will NOT be able to secure Kevin Kidney and Jody Daily merchandise for sale on our cruise.

The only item they currently have in stock and available on the ship is a Dumbo Giclee priced at $600.

If you want to have something else signed by Kevin and Jody please make sure you bring it with you.

I apologize for the inconvenience. We have been working with DCL for months to get more items on the ship but they just don’t seem to be able to make that happen.

I would be a solo cruiser. Am I correct in guessing that I would pay the full price for two people?

You would pay what Disney calls a 'single supplement' which is roughly 175% of the first persons cruise fare, plus your taxes, port charges, etc. If you want a quote for a single put in for a quote for a double and in the notes section let us know you are traveling solo and we will adjust the quote accordingly.

John, I want to go on the December 2012 cruise (Podcast Cruise 4.0? ) should I book onboard for the June cruise so I can get the rebooking discount? If Disney isn't going to announce the schedule for the rest of 2012 before PCC 2.0, I would like to get the discount. I know, I'm just trying to complicate your life. Sorry.

John, when do you anticipate having to turn over the group space? We're sailing on the Wonder in October 2011 and would like to be able to get rebooking credits/discounts. Do you think DU will be holding the space that long?

I was on PCC 1.0, I'm going to be on PCC 2.0, but I may just bring my kids on PCC 3.0. It will be a different experience for me, having to be a parent and all but we will all love that double dip!!

I doubt sail dates for December will be out by the time we sail in PCC 2.0 (but I could be wrong).

The best thing to do is book a 'dummy' or 'fake' date for some sailing in the future (far enough out so you don't have to worry about the balance being due) and when we decide on the actual date for PCC 4.0 (you people are killing me) you can move the onboard booking to that sail date and retain your onboard booking perks.

We will have rebooking sheets available for everyone if you choose to book PCC 3.0 on the cruise or another sail date.
