In my experience, it's been very hot and humid in the September/October timeframe. I've gone six times during that timeframe, and only once was it what I would deem "pleasant" weather (and the only reason it wasn't hot and humid was because a hurricane had just blown through!). Went mid-October 2009, and we had record-high heat (90+ most days, with high humidity). I told myself I would rather wait until November next trip, to try for better weather.
Realize that it will likely be very hot and humid, and base your decision on that. The trade-offs are low crowds, F&W Festival, and MNSSHP (and sometimes free dining).

I was there this last September. From September 23-28th. I thought it was warm but I also felt I was able to cool off inside attractions. It is great to go back to the pool and cool off too.
I noticed it really humid after a nice rain shower but that is to be expected. I really did think the weather was perfect. And because the lines were reasonable so that was the best perk of all. Then it was a short line to get into to a place with air conditioning when I did feel it was warm. Have a great trip I would go this time of year again for sure! |

Mid October
I have talked to many persons who work at Disney and most of them recommend mid to late October for a trip. The crowds are manageable and they had said the temps usually have changed and are more comfortable.
