Hi All
I was wondering if anyone had ordered the women's sleep shirts from The Disney Store. They claim to be "One Size/Extra Roomy". Any experience with these and what size they might actually be? Thanks! Amy

I visited Disney World about two years ago with my family, and had no true problems riding the rides I wanted to with my family. I am now freaking out because I feel my thighs are huge! I know I had no issues then but now I am freaking out! I am the same size as I was then and had no issues but now I am worried! Ahhh!

FAA banning self purchased seat belt extenders...
Did anyone else see the CNN story on the FAA banning non-Airline issued seat belt extenders? I see folks recommending them for purchase on this thread all the time so I thought it may be worth to heads up to someone.

My family is going to go to Blizzard Beach one day. Are there weight limits on any of the slides? Has there ever been any weight limits posted on things at Disney World?

Freaked!!
Okay fellow Pooh sized disboarders...I'm FREAKED!!!! We have four days until we fly...I've been so excited reading all the boards and planning, planning, planning....but now I'm freaked. DH watched some show last night about flying and they featured SW and had a pooh sized lady on it...and they made her in front of everyone buy an extra seat!!! uggghhhhhhhhh
I hate flying anyway and I even went to the Dr's this time and have 1/2 a valium to take (which I've never tried before....so who knows how that will work for me...the kids have stricked instructions to NOT let Daddy leave me on the plane! lol). I've never had a problem fitting in ANY seat before but I'm soooo nervous now. I wouldn't even want to be embarrassed in front of my family that way let alone a room full of strangers. I'm 5'2" and about 290 lb And carry my weight in my butt and belly.....While I'm posting....are there still turnstyles at the Haunted Mansion? The stinky part about all of this...is that we went in 2010 and I was about the same weight...but I was afraid to do many of the rides but I had an infant so it was easier to sit on the sidelines with him....and then I lost 50 lbs....but then gained it back so I'm really beating myself up now! To the point that I want to crawl in a hole and stay home ![]() Okay sorry for the rant/anixety attack....but I really am freaked out! and feeling bad about myself. |

I don't know how SW handles such things. I'm a flight attendant for a major airline and I've never known anyone being "required" to buy an extra seat on any of my flights. You may or may not need a seat belt extention, just ask the greeting flight attendant for one as you are boarding the plane just in case.
Please don't worry, just get excited about your trip!!!!

heres a trick I use I too am pooh but actually taller than you and a little bigger. I fly air tran and have never had a promblem at all But to give my slf room I always try to lift up the armrest that devides the seats and sit next to DD that way I got a little extra room with out anyone noticing it Also I have found that the isle seats are bigger, so r the exit row also never any ssues at WDW with any ride at all so you are all good there!! ask for eat belt extender as you board and also when you arrive and if your still worried ask to pre-board! then u wont have as many people around you while yu are adjsting the seats and belts!!
HAVE FUN!

Sit between two of your children and you'll have plenty of room. Don't worry at all, you'll be completely fine! As for rides, you don't need to worry there, either. As I'm sure you've learned from this thread, Disney is extremely size-friendly. Relax and enjoy! Have a magical vacation and escape those worries!

Thanks for the reassurance....I think I'm feeling better tonight. I've measured my van seats...and even called the local movie theater....I don't think they measured right though. My Mom and I tried to figure it out on the kitchen chairs too....lol....doesn't matter how old you are Mom's always try to make you feel better and calm you down! She really doesn't think I will have a problem...but knows how freaked out I've been.
On a positive note...all this nervous energy has turned my house into a sparkling clean house...walls vac and washed....toilets sinks tubs all scrubbed....bedding washed and changed...even blankets....lol. Thanks again for the positive words. |

Don't be freaked out. I am about your size and I haven't had an issue nor have I even had to ask for a seat belt extender. I am sure you will be fine!
Hey, do some of that washing and cleaning some more it makes you feel better and helps you sweat off inches also! Plus it is nice to come home to a nice clean house!

I have to say, this thread is awesome! It's been so reassuring to me! The last time I visited the parks was 1999! I am about the same size now that I was then, and I remember having a few issues. If anyone has any very recent info on the following, I'd greatly appreciate it!
I've read that the turnstiles at Haunted Mansion are gone. Great! But I also read that the lap bar has changed. I'm Pooh Sized, 5'5 and 26/28. I'll be riding with my DF who is tall and thin, and my 9 year old, who is short and thin. LOL I remember barely being able to get through the turnstile on Pirates of the Caribbean. It hurt! Has this changed? And finally, Soarin'...I can't really tell by the pics of the seats..does the pulling the seatbelt all the way out trick work here? Thanks guys! |

I'm almost the same measurements as you. 5'4" and size 26/28, carrying most of it in my butt, hips, and tummy.
I had no issues on the HM this year. I don't even remember the lap bar being any different so no worries there. POTC no longer has turnstiles. Soarin' is also no problem. You'll fit fine, and personally I didn't even need to use the "pull the seatbelt all the way out first" trick. I just sat down, and it fastened no problem. I have heard people say that if they do use the trick, it is sometimes easier to have whoever is sitting next to you fasten the seatbelt before you sit down. Enjoy your trip!! Quote:
