Wow...the old place still looks good.
 I am joining the Ohana boardwalk contingent. I come in late on Fri, then leave on Sun. congrats Richard! Glad you're healing well. I think PTs are magical so I'm sure you're in good hands.

I hope everyone has had a good holiday season, and perhaps a bit of Disney snuck in there, too! I did get an Epic Mickey 2 game with Oswald ears for a touch of Disney to my day.

HAPPY NEW YEAR... yes, I know I am a bad cousin. I talk to so many of you on Facebook that I forget about checking in here. I will be at Marathon weekend, hoping to hit the Pop meet. I am not sure about the Ohana meet, will let you all know. It is a short trip and the whole family will be along.
I am super slow this year. My New Year Wish/Want is to work on my running more. I had some knee and back issues and just figured less running and more walking would help me get through the marathon better this time around. Hope to see some of you next week!

Well, that's a lie, I hate having lost ground on my fitness and not being able to do everything I want. OTOH, I could have been far worse off from my injury than I was. I am healing and have started limited workouts again. My next follow-up appointment is on the 16th and I hope to be cleared for more activity and return to training for my next Ironman race in May.

We came home to moving into our new house and even with a whole week off during the holidays we have been alternating colds and are STILL putting it all together. We built a shed in the snow, have put shelves around here and there, put all the xmas stuff up and then back down, and just yesterday decided to not pay 5K for the built in pantry we were quoted to match our new kitchen and to just buy a $250 glass door cabinet from Ikea so I spent all day yesterday putting that together and rearranging my kitchen AGAIN... I NEED to get running again! I miss it, and I can FEEL that my legs are weaker on stairs. I also finally caught my first cold of the season after not catching any during our trip and xmas (everyone was dropping like flies... I think it was that I was so much healthier!). Besides that I want to run the Dumbo Double Dare in September as well as a St Patricks Day 15K in March. If I don't get done with the house and back into my groove it will be ugly!

'Ohana meet is Saturday at Beaches & Cream at 2 p.m. Everyone is welcome. And hopefully we can all reconnect!

It was good seeing everyone enjoy marathon weekend via Facebook, even if I couldn't be a part of it this year. I look forward to some race and trip reports.
After six weeks of PT I am preparing to head back to the surgeon today for a follow up appointment. I am very hopeful to be released for a return to training. Today is day 90 of being injured. In some ways it feels like it has been more longer than that--much longer! A good report today means I can still begin training in time for Ironman Texas. It might not let me have the race effort I had orignially wanted, but I will take just being able to complete it considering what I've been through. :-)

Will any other cousins be running the Dumbo Double Dare this year? We made it in under the wire - I have never seen a race sell out so fast!
