Samantha and Wes's Magical Disney Escape 08.09.10 - Last thoughts about our Trip!
My Dress
Shoes! Invitations Rings Our Story ADRs Floral Ideas Dress Steaming Bride and Groom Shirts Mom's Panel Purses and Tiaras My Schedule ![]() and ADR spreadsheet ![]() I like planning! I have a few OCD things that I've been doing in preparation of our wedding like my day by day schedule of the 22 days were spending in Orlando and the pie chart of my wedding budget. Oh the fun of being me! Wes thinks I'm crazy although he's starting to get it as we get closer... The excell sheet for all our ADR confirmation #'s the shopping list for what we'll need to buy at wall-mart while we have the car... Yes I'm into the nitty gritty details and I'm still only booking the wedding tomorrow (today for all ya'll on the east coast).

So when are you booking it for? I love reading PJ's for organised brides, makes me think I can do it myself...

So I spoke with Diane (a wedding consultant) today to confirm that we have our date and we sent her back all of the information for our Letter of Agreement! I can't wait until we get the packette where we'll pick the cake and flowers and everything I already know what I want.
Burgundy Calla Lillies for my bouquet Burgundy Calla Lilly for Wes' boutineer Cream Calla Lillies for my sister's bouquet Cream Calla Lilly for Wes' brother's boutineer Chocolate cake with bavarian cream and fresh raspberry filling. We have already contact Ron Rosenszweig (sp?) to officiate. The only thing I'm not sure of yet is which design I want the cake to be.

For my hair I have very thick very long curly hair, I'm going to wear it down and just have my sides pinned back with a comb/tiara (though why they call it a tiara when it goes on the back of my head I have no idea) it has lovely red flowers in it to go with the red in my gown http://www.alfredangeloca.com/Collec...spx?style=2010 with accents in claret (I cannot make pictures work they always come out broken, links are my friend!
) I am probably going to be very hot with all my hair down my back but it will be very pretty.I am having my hair and makeup done at Mandara at the Dolphin the morning of with a trial a few days before (YAY for flying in 4 days before the wedding) I really wish I could figure out how to post my charts and day-byday planner. Anyone know how to put in a link or a picture of an excell spreadsheet?

Dress Shopping
I went dress shopping way before I was able to confirm my date as I wanted my mom to be a part of the experience and we now live on opposite sides of the country
My parents were in town for a long weekend at the beginning of September so my mom, my sister and I went dress shoping while my dad and DF went golfing ![]() We went to this little salon where the owner was so nice and patient while I tried on about 5 dresses. I went back and forth for a while between this dress http://www.alfredangeloca.com/Collec...ce221eddc&pg=1 (with the accent in claret) but we decided we like the colour at the top and bottom of the dress so we went with this dress http://www.alfredangeloca.com/Collec...spx?style=2010 again with the accents in claret. We had an appointment at another salon but we were so happy with the dress and my sister's friend had not had the best experience with the other salon so we bought the dress and went for lunch

Guest Hotels
I have already picked our hotel for the guest (heck I've already got them booked) that's because we have only our imediate family and grandmothers coming to the wedding.
I work for Starwood Hotels so I got AMAZING rates at the Sheraton Vistana Villages for the 2 bedroom suites (109 a night!!) so each of our families will stay in a suite. It's cheaper than renting a house and we will all meet at the YC for the wedding. They may also stay at the Swan or the Dolphin as I get great rates there too but nothing can really beat only needing one room per family.

Escape Pkg Extras, how to deal with losses and other anxieties!
I'm only palnning a very few extras.
We will not have any floral for the Gazebo, I think it's gorgeous as is and I'm streching my budget for the 3 weeks we'll be spending in Disney. I will be getting a bridesmaid's bouquet for my sister and a boutinier for DF's brother. We've also decided on a singel white rose for Df's mother to carry to symbolize the brother that DF lost about 10 years ago. I never knew his brother and I don't want his mom and dad to get too emotional at the wedding as they have had a very hard time with W's passing. I know it's imprtant to DF to do something for his brother that day but I don't want it to overshadow the joy the day should be about. I'm really unsure about what to do for DF's brother... I don't really want to acknowledge the loss because I want the day to be about begginings not endings but I don't want to offend his family. Does anyone have any experience with a lost sibling and how to have them be a part of the day? I think I'm more unsure because I'm really not close to his family. We moved across the coutry from our families but my family is very tight nit. My parents have visited us about once every six months (my sister also lives out west (actually in the same condo building we do) so they come to see us all), but DF's parents have only been out once in the 3 and a half years we're lived here and then for only 3 nights. We've only made it home about 4 times but they won't even drive the 4 hours to see us if we fly in to see my mom and dad. Our parents have never met and I don't think that they will be meeting before the wedding. I'm also not sure if that's going to be awkward. I've asked my dad to do the toast at the cake and champagne toast as he knows us the best. Ah well, c'est la vie, right?

Yay for the LOA. Your dress choices are great, both are very beautiful. Sounds like you have so much planned already! I totally agree about stretching a budget by reducing floral.
