Take a shower!!!!!! Don't try to MASK it with MORE STANK!!!!

A woman just walked into my office, and the STANK of her purfume is so intence, I can barely breathe. Half the office is now coughing (including myself), and my throat is sore now. Every single time this woman comes in, she reaks of purfume, its so disgusting. I feel sick to my stomach now having to inhale it. Its so RUDE! I wear purfume, so I'm not against purfume as a whole, but JUST A LITTLE AT A TIME PEOPLE!!! THE BOTTLE IS MADE TO LAST LONGER THAN ONE APPLICATION!!!

So for fellow dissers out there, just remember, no more that 2 squirts, and YOUR GOOD!!!!

At my dd's brownie troop, there is a mom that masks what she was "smoking" with perfume. She smells horrible. Needless to say , no one wants to sit by her.

Gross!!! It ges for cologne too. Last year my ds had to stay overnight in the hospital and the little girl sharing the room's dad had on such a ridiculous amount of cologne that I almost threw up. It was horrific and we both slept in the room so I couldn't escape

I hate that! At my university, there seems to be the opinion that "more is better"; I've seriously known that a group of guys has just gone by because of the "cloud"

OMG, a woman did this at the gym a few weeks ago. She came on the track after I'd been there for about an hour or so and anyone on the track could smell her whether she was anywhere near us or not. I'm not normally sensitive to perfumes or any fragrances, really, but I had to leave after about 5 minutes and take an Allegra. I got a pounding sinus headache that quickly.

I mean, I know it was a Friday night and all, but the gym ain't happy hour, honey!

I use to work with a few ladies that would bath in perfume. They were clean, showered, and then put on a gallon of the stuff.

I worked in a nasty smelly auto factory and I could walk in an aisle 5 minutes after they had left and smell them.

I used to work with a woman who put way too much perfume on. She would spray it on so heavily and refresh it often during the day. We just figured that she couldn't smell it anymore so she would spray herself until she could smell it. Everytime I think of her I think of Opium.

She used to suffer from migranes and could not figure out why, could it have been the perfume?

Ah, the Italian shower!

I find one squirt is usually sufficient.

To many people, having people able to smell them is their goal. The biggest compliment you can give them is that you like their perfume, you smell like clean laundry, etc. This was a big surprise to me when I started DISing. Prior to that I always thought people accidently smelled too strong.

My goal has always been for people NOT to be able smell me - unless they're hugging me or something. If people are commenting on your smell everytime you walk by or enter a room it is a huge clue - you stink!

One year we were staying at the Beach Club. We were waiting for the elevator. The door opened and one of the Gabor sisters got out and we got in. Boy did that woman have the perfume on. It was the longest 2 floor ride I took.

An hour later that elevator still smelled.

OT, but this is soooooooooo true! I love the women that put on the eyeliner, eyeshadow, lipstick, the works...and then walk about .01mph on the treadmill so they won't mess up their makeup. EVERY day is Happy Hour for them!!!

Fragrance is supposed to be intimate. It should not be detectable more than arm's length away.

Speaking of smelling, my most recent trip to WDW definitely included people who don't know what deodorant is... I'm not sure which is worse, too much fragrance or total body stench.

Don't know which I would prefer more, the smell of over powering perfume or stale cigarette smoke on ones clothing that clearly hasn't been washed in ages? In my classroom we have plenty of stale cigarette smoke saturated clothing and parents, I'd take the perfume scent any day.
