Blackberry Disney apps????
I am new to the whole internet/phone thing (well, not quite new yet, because I am thinking of taking the leap, but not sure yet).
I have seen a thread talking about iPhone/Disney apps. My carrier only offers a Blackberry, no iPhone. Can blackberry users give me any insight? What Disney apps are there? Why else would I NEED a blackberry, etc. Basically I need to justify the extra $25/month! Thanks!

I had to get the same rationalizations a few months ago, but I caved and am now yet another addict to the Crackberry.
I use mine for Facebook, online maps, my calendar, my address book, online shopping / checking info, email, my grocery list, other notes, games to keep me occupied in the Drs office, and of course a phone. I also do Weight Watchers online right on my phone now. I haven't downloaded the Disney app yet (trip isn't til March), but I have been on Disney's mobile website and it is very cool. If you are a net junkie or do much business outside the office, it's well worth it. Many apps can be done on a standard smart phone such as an Env for $15 a month instead of $25. I had the Env2 last and loved the phone but needed more capabilities. Hope this helps! |

Here is a link to BlackBerry App World with an AP for WDW maps and it costs $3.99, plus there is a full description of what's included.

I work for AT&T, and I personally prefer my BlackBerry over the iPhone. That's probably because I don't like touchscreens. But RIM (BlackBerry's company) has been around for a long time; they were one of the first, if not the first, companies to fashion a PDA/cell phone hybrid. Most smart phones check every 15 or so minutes for new messages, but in BlackBerries your emails are pushed instantly to your messages folder. For example, I'm a student, and I need constant access to my email in case a professor emails about a time change or something.
If you have Verizon, I believe the Tour is the best offered there. I wouldn't go for the Storm, even if I liked touchscreens; I know friends who have had bad luck with them. I have an older BlackBerry - an 8310 - but I believe there are apps available for the newer ones.

I was all excited that there was going to be something for non-iphones. My trip is in a week, was really hoping to have it by then, oh well. I'm sure it will be available for the blackberry after the 20th, when I get home. ![]() I also was someone who didn't know if I wanted a blackberry, but now I'm addicted. I can't wait to use it to tweet from the parks.

I don't have a blackberry, and am very unfamiliar with how this works, but my husband has one, and I heard something about an app that gives you wait times for rides at WDW. That would save us lots of running around! Has anyone heard of this? Is it only for iphone?
