Victoria & Albert's - Food News You can Use
Wow - that was weird - I thought I was starting a new thread - and I was actually posting old news on an existing, correct thread. Ignore what I wrote - Circusgirl has more information!!

I'll be at V&A (once again) next week--I'll see if they have any more information about all of this.
Should also note that V&A is already a 5 star restaurant--they can't get much better than that. Anything at the Four Seasons will have to be VERY special just to achieve such a rating.

It went to Looneyland, by way of Crazytown, with a detour through Wackoville, and a stop for snacks in Bonkerscity

Hmmm I was watching a show the other night and it was either on the Travel or Food Channel. It was about a restaurant that serves a 20 something course meal. Most of the courses are only a bite or so, and the price is $500pp. I remembered thinking how much I would love to enjoy an experience like that. I have always wanted to go to V&A but I either have no adult to go with me, or I have all of my children there with me and the childcare cost would be outrageous. I will have to keep this in mind if I ever get to take a grown up trip or if I have a lot of extra money hanging around in a year or two lol. I just can't see sitting through a several hour dinner alone
.

I just tried the new web site for Victoria and Albert's, victoria_albert.com, and it is not up yet. Has anybody who was there for F&W heard more about it?

We were at V&A on Oct. 5. The plan is still on and that time they were in the process of updating the AC in that room (apparently it gets rather warm in there) and they were still working on the name of the room. Victoria Room seemed to be what they wanted, but they were in the process of determining if that "name" had some sort of copyright or trademark issues.

I meant to ask about this when we were there a few weeks ago but I forgot (too much wine). It will be interesting to see what's offered on the 12-16 course menu and if it varies from the main dining room and Chef's Table.
We always enjoy V&A but would like to start seeing a little more variety on their menu. There were items on our October 18th menu that were also on our menu from three years ago ... that's not necessarily bad but neither is mixing things up now and then.

I agree. Our October menu wasn't all that different from the menu we had in May. Which wasn't all that different from the menu we had the previous September.
Of course, V&A probably assumes most folks will be one timers and won't come on a regular basis as we do. For them , any V&A menu is new and exciting.
