Another Newbie Here - The DIS Discussion Forums

Hi, I am new to the boards. I joined because I am planning out my kids 1st trip to Disney over Thanksgiving. I have 3 wonderful kids, 10, 7, and 4. Any opinions on things to see, best use of time, etc is much appreciated

Just wanted to say welcome to the boards!!!!

I'm just giving you a fair warning now that these boards are addictive.

One of my fav. things to recommend to others is don't have your expectations set high on a 100% perfect trip. Just let the Disney magic happen; make sure you stop to smell the flowers. Disney isn't just about rides and food it's also about flowers and landscaping, and the love that Walt wanted Disney to be.
Don't forget to use sunblock and drink plenty of fluids. It's all about the florida sun.

You will get varying opinions of EVERY resort on property. I suggest you find the theme you would enjoy the most and go from there. You'll find a lot of good pics and reviews on the resorts boards here.

Well, you will be there during the free dining promotion, so you need to go ahead and make your reservatations quickly. Your 90 day booking window for Advance Dining Reservations opened up the end of May, so everyday it will get harder and harder to get good seatings at the popular restaurants.

Our favorite Value Resort is All-Star Movies, favorite Moderate Resort is Port Orleans French Quarter and favorite Deluxe Resort is The Polynesian.
