Full Service Dinners at WDW parks
I'm trying to come up with a good list of places to eat at each of the nights we will be at WDW in September. We're not doing park hopper to save money, but we would like to try some place we haven't been before.
Is there a great place to eat in AK or should we do a hotel dinner that night? What about the rest of the parks, can anyone recommend a place in the world showcase besides Rose & Crown or Le Celiae? |

Welcome to the Dis!
On our AK days we usually go to a resort for dinner because we eat later dinners and AK closes a bit early in the evening. There are plenty of options in the WS. Tutto Italia is one of our favorites. Also Chefs de France is very good. In HS we like Hollywood Brown Derby and there are other options like 50's Prime Time or Sci Fi Dine In. Or you could head over to the Boardwalk for a nice dinner at Flying Fish! If we have dinner in MK it's usually going to be at Tony's, maybe Crystal Palace. But we usually will do a resort dinner this day too. |

Hey, welcome to the Dis -- I see this is your first post. We really enjoyed Yak & Yeti in may 2009; have also eaten at Tusker House (buffet) last year & liked that too. You might want to post this on the regular restaurant page to get more responses (well, a moderator might move it, too, since this is supposed to be just reviews on this page

Food!
Welcome Hoffman.
Here are some of our favorites: AK - never had dinner there - but Breakfast at Tusker is wonderful! HS - you will read very mixed reviews but we really liked both Hollywood & Vine and Mama Melrose MK - Crystal Place EP - lots and lots of places - Of course, LeCellier, but also Coral Reef, Chefs De France, amd Tappan Edo are great. This year we are trying Marakeesh. Try some resort restaurants. No hopper necessary. What about Boma, Kona or Cape May? We are trying Maya Grill (at CSR) for the first time this year. 79 days and counting . . . ![]() Have a great trip and enjoy your food!

Since you will be at Animal Kingdom for the day, maybe a short bus ride to the Animal Kingdom Lodge for dinner would work. There are 3 great restaurants to choose from. Jiko is an excellent full service restaurant. Across from the entrance to Jiko is Boma with a wonderful African flavored buffet.
Next door at the Animal Kingdom Villas is Saana, the newest WDW restaurant where you can enjoy a full service meal with close up views of the savannah and it's animals.

We have never eaten dinner at AK. We always do a resort dinner after going to AK. We will be trying Tusker House for breakfast this time because my youngest son adores Donald Duck and my oldest son wants to meet Goofy.
At Hollywood Studios, we have eaten at 50's Prime Time Cafe and enjoyed it. At Epcot, you have tons of choices. Some of our favorites are Marrakesh and Teppan Edo. I have heard great things about many restaurants in Epcot World Showcase. It all depends on what you want! At MK, you are limited somewhat in your table service choices. We have done Crystal Palace at dinner and enjoyed it, but if you aren't interested in meeting the Pooh characters, that isn't the restaurant for you. We enjoyed a dinner at Tony's too. Hope you enjoy your trip and happy eating! |

Here are some of my favorites that I usually try to hit when I go back to visit:
EPCOT: Italy's restaurant is amazing... but Italian food is also pretty easy to come by, so if you're worried about that, I would try Coral Reef (although it can be an awesome hit or average meal). Studios: I also enjoy 50s Prime Time. The food is pretty good but I'm mostly there for the themeing. If you want something more than the theme, I would try the Brown Derby. I've especially enjoyed their desserts and relaxing atmosphere. DAK: I agree with other posters, I would go to a resort for dinner instead. The park closes early anyway, so it's a good excuse to try new places around property. MK: I don't have a fave here.. Nothing to me really jumps out. The buffet at Crystal Palace is pretty good but nothing too amazing. Resorts: California Grill is AMAZING, but if you're trying to save money, you could always go up for drinks and appetizers just before fireworks. ![]() O'hana is great with a group. My most favorite of all? Jiko or Boma. Jiko is also higher in price range but for me it's def worth the cost (and this coming from a vegetarian!). Wow.. this post is making me really hungry!

I have never had dinner at AK.
At HS, SciFi Dine In was fantastic! Whispering Canyon Cafe is really good. It's at the Wilderness Lodge. |
