Need Car Rental Suggestions
I need to rent a car for our trip this August. Want to pickup from MCO and return to Car Care Center. I am looking for a full sized car, but the best rate I can find is $344.51 (Alamo) for the week including taxes with a BJ's discount. Seems high to me. Is there anything better out there?

Probably not, if you're returning to the CCC. Only Alamo and National are there. Is there a reason you won't just return the car to the airport? That might be cheaper.

Are you staying on Disney property? If you are staying on Disney property, I would take Magical Express and then rent at WDW. The rates are cheaper on Disney property this year (which is a complete opposite of what it has been for years). You can rent from Alamo/National at the CCC, Dolphin, or Buena Vista Palace. You can rent Avis from the Hilton in Downtown Disney. Budget is located at the Doubletree Guest Suites and Dollar is at the Regal Sun Resort. All of these locations are within walking distance of the Downtown Disney bus stop. Some of the rental car companies will also pick you up.
If you aren't staying on WDW property and aren't eligible for Magical Express, I would look into a one day rental picking up at MCO and returning on WDW property. Then you can re-rent another car for the rest of your stay. This may be cheaper than renting at MCO. Car rental rates are outrageous this year.

try mousesavers.com
Also Costco members can save a lot thru their website. This is usually the best deal I can find and includes free addl. driver. This year has been unusually high for car rentals. |
