WDW GRAND GATHERING PTR 8/22-9/05! Who else will be there?

Hello everyone! It's almost time...time for our Grand Gathering at Walt Disney World! We're so excited and we can not wait! With Summer making all of us super busy we decided to axe our current pre trip reports and put them all together right here in one place. That will make life much easier and give us more time to Dis! Onto the W's.....

Due to unforeseen circumstances DisneyQuilter will no longer be joining us in August. However thanks to this trip report we have found many more Disfriends who will be there during our visit and we can't wait to meet you all! We'll miss you Christine and family but we'll see you soon!

I love those pics! I need to do some new ones. I took those pictures at an old McDonalds that people painted all over. They're some of my favorites! They recently tore it down....which sucks! It was a great photo op! You know me..I add to add a stupid one of myself. We're leaving but please...add to it girl! Talk to you soon!

OK! So I guess I'll go first! I'm Colleen AKA Goofy22 don't ask how I came up with my DIS name I couldnt tell you except the fact that my birthday is the 22nd! LOL !


Then there is DH AKA Jim

Then we have my Baby niece I will refer to her as DGN because she is my Great Niece so yeah that makes me old! But she is my Heart!

And that should be the entire cast of my part of the GG! Now a little info about us!
I have been married to my DH for 12 yrs now and we have to awesome kids our oldest is our DD she is 14 soon to be 15 This is definitely a hard age! She will be a sophmore in highschool in september!She loves to take pictures of herself and get dressed up make up , hair etc...


DS is 10 he will be going into the 5th grade in September . This boy can tell you anything you want to know about Trains and Boats! Believe me he amazes me! He's hardly ever home he's usually on the road with Pop to a Train or Boat show or just at our local Train Museum that my father runs!


My Baby Niece this will be her 3rd trip to Disney and she will be 3 on September 23rd! She's been to Disney more than her parents!

Now how I got involved in this GG well I have been following Onetreehilladdicts PTR's and Tr's for awhile now like alot of you have and on her one report she posted for those going the same time during FDP if they were interested in doing a GG to get in touch with her! So I did because I love to do different things at Disney and GG's don't always come your way as you have to have 8 or more ppl for these experiences! Tammy was so nice she messaged me back and told me all about the GG's and we were soon on board! Me and Dh actually went on our first trip to Disney together on our Honeymoon in April 1997! then soon after we started going as a family and have been going back ever since! We love Disney! I am Super excited about this trip and really can't wait to meet Tammy aka OneTreeHillAddict and Christine aka DisneyQuilter and their families they seem so nice! This could be the start of some long friendships! This will be my first ever DIS Meet! I just actually told DH about the Dis meet! LOL he doesn't mind though he's worse than a women and loves socializing! My DS has talked to ONETREEHILLADDICTS oldest DS and really can't wait to meet him! Well I guess that about covers us! Next up will be Flight plans,Resort and ADR plans!

Gosh, I wish I had more days to stay - I really want to hang out with you guys and your kids, you all seem so fun! Hopefully we'll run into each other at least once during our days there though... I mean, Disney is only so big...

Danica ! I'm sure we'll run in to you at some point! I'm sure there will be many late nights by the pool ! My kids love late night swims! We can still always arrange to meet up somewhere like at our Resort??? Disney Quilter is now staying there also a room opened up! Yay! I hear yah on the Disney only being so big part! When I get there I'll text you and let you know what section we're in etc.... Sorry I just realized I never answered your bday question! My birthday is July 22nd I'm not looking foward to it because it means i'm 3 yrs closer to the BIG 40!

Hey Guys!! Ok, I am the fall-of-the-wagon girl, disneyquilter You'll see m e post often...then WHAMMO!...I'll be gone for a couple weeks...it's just my crazy life getting in the way. So for now, no pics until tomorrow, BUT I am just poppin' in to say "HEY! I'm here. And to give you just a tiny bit of background...

I will say there are 4 of us (hence the photo) that are going to the World. Third trip since 2005. We live in SoCal, a stone's throw away from Uncle Walt's Original Mouse House. You will see TONS of pics of us at D-Land (hope you don't mind). We are HUGE soccer fans (DD's both play competitive soccer). And UBER-HUGE Disney fans.

I'm a 33 y/o mom of two girls ages 12 and 10. Married to DH, Kevin (also 33 y/o). We were HS sweets (different HS's though). Met him when I was 16 (he had just turned 17). We are two peas in a pod. Most people think he is uber-quiet when they first meet him, but once they get to know him...Watch Out--you can't quiet him up

DD1 & DD2 are going through those pre-teen angst years...you know, the eye rolling, the "whatever"'s and so forth, but all in all I guess I'll keep 'em considering the 30 day warranty's up

I am a total Twi-Mom (yes, I love Twilight...I even write adult fanfic in my spare time). Anyways...more tomorrow, since it is nighty-night time for me (you know, I have to work tomorrow...bummer ).

So on that note, pics and intros of my sweet fam tomorrow...

Yay! Your here! Love the start! The warranty is definitely up! Your too funny! Yeah you know I'm kinda like that in the begining too like your Dh but once I get to know you I'm good! LOL! Well I must get off DIS I have to get some sleep before work in the am! I only have 4 hours to go! Good thing I do this often and I adjust! I'll chat with you all tommorrow!

What are your dates? We can definitely meet up after the parks if we don't cross paths inside! There's 4 rooms of us (one room isn't on the Dis) and we're requesting they put us together. We can add ya'll too if you want. As a matter of fact my sister and her friend are not going to the Safari and Illuminations GG now and you guys are welcome to take their spots! Just PM me and lmk if you want them.

Colleen....GREAT intro. Your kids and niece are dolls! I will do mine tomorrow. I just got back home and I'm a little ticked at Sidney and ready for bed. (He promised to do some things and kept putting them off. )

Christine...OMG you made it on the first night. I am so proud of you!!! We are gonna have so much fun in sixty something days! Oooh, I need to ad a ticker.

We'll be there the 25th to the 1st, so we can definitely meet up at POP! I forgot about that. And the parks close so early (relative to other times of the year) that there will be downtime at the resort. Wooo - tiny DISmeet!!!!!

Poor Lou.... what I subject him to.

Oh, and I have Verizon - does anyone else? We can be "IN"... I'm going to have to save my text messaging for the trip - I didn't think I would be texting anyone, since the person I usually text will (hopefully) be right next to me. If I lose him he's going to be so embarrassed - I'll put out a lost call. "Attention guests: We are on the lookout for a lost child. He is 19, 5'10, black hair, blue eyes, glasses, wearing a blue Beauty & the Beast teeshirt. If anyone sees him, please tell him to meet his guardian at Guest Services"

And I really wish I could do the GGs - but I think one of them is 2 TS credits, and then the other one is at a different park than we're at that day.. But at least we get to meet up. I'm happy with that!


Oh, I'm planning on booking the Fireworks Dessert Buffet on the 25th, I totally forgot to mention that! I'll go add that to my PTR - it's been kinda dead with a lack of updates.
