We did the party last year with a 4 and 1 year old and we had a blast! We will def do it again on our next fall trip. The parade was great! The kids loved the dance parties and the rides were walk on and they rode again and again. They also met tons of characters and trick or treating was a plus! All around A+++! Definitely go for it! We are doing the Christmas party this year and I am missing the Halloween party already LOL!
Have a great trip!!!!

You should go! There are characters there that you wouldn't meet any other time, and the shows and parade are wonderful, and yes, you get lots of candy.
![]() If you are concerned about the kids not being able to stay up, maybe take a rest in the middle of the day. Plus, all the candy they pass out--that should help keep them nice and hyper! ![]() I would recommend eating dinner BEFORE the party. I missed out on some great stuff because we ate at the party. Won't make that mistake again.

We are going for the 1st time on 9/15 and bought the tickets already! Quote:
Plus Disney limits the amount of tickets sold so the park will not be anywhere near capacity, I have heard from CMs and read online when doing research, to about 1/3 of the capacity allowed, so you do risk the chance of missing out. Quote:

What a great thread!! We are going to be at WDW this year to celebrate dd's 8th birthday (planned it before the year of celebrations!) and will be eating at the castle on her birthday. Of course, youngest dd5 wants to know when we will be at WDW on HER birthday!
Her birthday is in October, and while we can't do another trip this year, I was thinking about next year and MNSSHP sounds like just the thing to make her birthday special!!!

Does anyone know if the Oct 29th and Oct 31st usually sell out? Are they really too crowded to go and enjoy with 4 kids?

You should be fine. We always choose the Friday party as well but within the last couple of weeks of October. The Fridays tend to get more crowded but since you are going in September, I don't think you are going to see much of a crowd. As far as going to MK in the morning, if it's your favorite park, then why not. You'll probably get to appreciate the little to no wait times for many of your favorite rides compared to the day.

So the MNSSHP is Friday 9/25 our arrival date. But then Sat 9/26 the MK is open until 10 and Sun 9/27 until 11 with EMH. We did the party last year pretty close to Halloween and had a good time despite chilly weather. But I'm wondering whether any of the evening festivities on 9/26 or 9/27 will be Halloween themed, like the parade or fireworks? Or are those themed events saved for the MNSSHP exclusively (or until closer to Halloween)? The extra cost isn't that big of an issue, but these events are getting really expensive. Just not sure we'll all hold up for a long night on our arrival date, and not that interested in trick or treating in Sept. But I agree that the fireworks were amazing and the parade was a lot of fun and would like our son to see those if possible. . .

Wow...I just stumbled onto this thread, which is really great. I love reading all of the comments. I didn't even know about MNSSHP!
We will definitely be going! We're at DW 9/29 to 10/5, so we should be able to work it in. Question. My boys LOVE all things Halloween and they love to dress up. Do a lot of guests dress up? Only thing is...more stuff to pack...ugh... Anybody acutally pack costumes? Me DH DS(13) DS(9) DS(6)
