I thought it was completely NOT worth the money.

The buses were super crowded and there weren't enough-it took us forever to get there

MK was way more crowded during the party than any other time we were there during the week

The lines for candy were huge, the candy was sort of disappointing-my kids get better candy in our neighborhood-it was a lot of cheap/hard candy type stuff.

The parade was cool and the fireworks were awesome, but i'm not sure how they are much different than regualr Wishes because i've never seen that before.

Would definently NOT do this again.

I was going to ask what kind of candy do you get... I am hearing cheap candy and then full size candy bars from the CSR's on the phone for disney.. i was thinking about going to the party and I know the key for DD would be the trick or treating.... mmmmmm i might have to buy her candy if it's the stuff she wont like... somthing to think about.

We didn't get even one full size candy bar. There was a lot of Mary Janes, hard candies, bit o' honey, lollipops and some mini candy bars (but not many). For the price of the ticket, i definently thought the candy would be better. There was a lot of it though.

I love Christmas and have been to 3 MVMCPs, but MNSSHP was much better. Too bad it's going to be a couple of years before we get to go to another one. I'm going back to college and the dates just don't work with my schedule.

We *LOVE* Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party! This Sept will be our 3rd party

Our first was Halloween Night 2006, the second was Oct 28th 2008 and this year we are going Sept 25th 2009.

Even on Halloween Night, which was sold out, we found the crowds to be very sparse. We waited all of 5 minutes to get on the Haunted Mansion at about 9:45pm. We never stay for the whole party, usually until 10:30 or 11.

The music, the atmosphere, Boo to You Parade, Hallowishes, they are all well worth the price of admission.

We found that the ride waits remain low all night long but a few tips:
- Hit the character spots and trick or treat areas EARLY!
- Stake out a spot for Boo to You about half an hour before (this depends on how crowded your evening is). There are two showings of the parade and the second is typically less crowded.

My wife and I went by ourselves last year and loved it -- all the special events (fireworks, parade and trick-or-treating) were great. And it was also nice to stroll around the park when it got really late and feel as if we practically had it to ourselves -- that's something you don't get every day!

We hope to take our little boy this year or next -- he'll love it too.

I highly recommend it to everyone who asks. We've been twice to the MNSSHP and once to the MVMCP. No comparison, in my opinion. That's how amazing the Halloween party is! There's something truly magical about seeing the kids dressed up at Disney, watching the characters interact with them via the dance party, the Villians Mix and Mingle, the soundtrack to the Hallowishes ect. We took my nephew, 4 at the time, to the Christmas party last year and while it's not as amazing as the Halloween party, he had no problem staying up for it, or enjoying himself to the max. Trick or Treating is a great time (just head down the Mad Hatter's Tea Party for max treats in minimal time) and the parade is so much fun. When we went, Goofy ended the parade with a huge bubble machine and CM's were handing out candy to the kids so be sure to have your kids up front with their bags held out!

We took our twin 4 yr old gkids last Sept. and they absolutely loved it. We played at the resort in the morning, took naps and then an early dinner before going to MK. GD dressed as Alice and GS went as Woody. Rides were great and they loved the parade. Would highly recommend as a must do

let me first say that i'm 18 (almost 19...) and i'm not a huge fan of fireworks/parades. i mean, yeah i like them but i'm not the one sniffling in the crowd.

that being said... I LOVED MNSSHP. LOVED IT. parade= AWESOME. the fireworks= AWESOME.

and all the rides were walk-on, a bunch of rare characters were out, and my parents did trick or treating. i got my face painted. i liked it so much, i wish we were going in october again because it's not going to be the same without it!

The parade is good, the fireworks are good, but to me it's just not worth the price ... I think Disney has overpriced this one.

Talking

I love reading these. Every phone call I make to Disney they are really pushing the tickets. They offer then go on and on about it, and a few CMs were very forward. I actually felt pressure to buy the tickets right then. I feel as if there's a contest for who can sell the most tickets. I have not bought them yet, because I would ideally like to wait till I know what the weather will be. Maybe get the tickets when I get down there. Do they ever sell out in September? For those if you going, do you buy you tickets well ahead of time?

My Wife and I went with our two children 3 and 6 at the time. They ussually go to bed at 8:00, we were surprised when they stayed up to midnight with no problems. Obviously we slept in the next day. My wife's cousin went with their kids aged 3 and 4 and they had to leave early becuase the kids were super cranky. So I guess it depends on your kids.

One thing that I was not aware of when we went is that you can get into the parks at 4:00 with your MNSSHP tickets.

We had a great time and would do it again. Best Disney Parade I have ever seen, and best Fireworks as well.

We went to MNSSHP last year for the first time and we LOVED it. The Boo to You parade is our favorite parade now. We went on our travel day. After 8 hours of sitting in the car figured this would be a good way for the kids (then 6 and 4) to let some of that pent up energy out. We waited untill we got there to purchase tickets. One to see what kind of mood the kids were in after the drive and two to see what the weather was like. Both of our kids did great. However we did not stay for the entire party and opted to leave after HalloWishes. All the rides were walk on with no wait. As a PP noted they had a long wait and crowded bus ride we did not experience either of these.

the ticket prices seem much more reasonable if you can get into the park at four, is that true? disney website just says that the party is from 7pm-midnight.

i was ready to buy our tickets on-line until i read through this thread. i am now nervous about the weather. does anyone know how early you have to get the tickets in order to get the discount? we are planning to go 9/25 and would rather pay the $52 that the $59.

oops, never mind, i see in the fine print that advance purchase savings are available up to the day prior to the event.
