I went last year with my 4 y/o and while it was worth it at the time, we really didn't get to enjoy the full extent of the party. Even with a nap and a rest day that day, my dd was exhausted by 10pm and we had to leave.I am glad we went and it is the best party Disney offers, but will either wait till she is older or let her hang at a Kids Club that night

A few years ago it was worth. Over the past couple of years some of the highlights have been scaled back or discontinued, but the price continues to climb. After the cutbacks over the past couple of years, we could take it or leave it. We only do it now if traveling with friends or family members who want to do it. I no longer think it's worth the price. Maybe a few years ago when you actually got the free family photo, as that was a nice perk.

I took my 4 year old daughter in 2006 and she loved it. We did downtown disney and BBB that afternoon and then went to the party, she made it til park closing. She loved trick or treating and the parade. It was worth the money for us.

I think it is definitely worth the money. In my opinion, the Halloween parade was the best one I had ever seen!

My son was 2 1/2 when we went and he loved it. The day of the party we spend part of the day in the GF pool/beach...we tired him out and he had a 4 hour nap so when we went to the party he had alot of energy. He loved meeting all the characters in different halloween custom, he loved the trick or treat (so did my husband) and loved the danced parties...he talks about it and wants to know if he can go to Disney to the Halloween party. I'm glad we went b/c we have alot of magical memories and had amazing pictures with the characters (I think the only time I saw the 7 dwarfs and snow white) and the princess with the prince (3 sets of them) and Mickey and Minnie in custome. The parade was great too.

Hallowishes alone is worth the price of admission..have been the last 2 years...the orange and purple colorization up and down Main Street is wild..

I'll give it...

we went last year when my DS was almost 2 years old. He loved it, the parade was so much fun and he had a blast with the different characters that are hard to find. He stayed awake till about 10:30pm and then passed out in the stroller and my DH and I walked around and took everything in. We had such a great time we are going again this year, it is worth the money.

Lots of opinions on this one. I'd say if you are just going to ride the rides, then no. EMH is much better for this (and free!). We have been several times, and every year we ride fewer and fewer rides. It was nicer when you got a free photo. Nowadays for us it's mainly about the Trick or Treating for DS, the special Wishes, and the parade. Also very interesting to see all the guests costumes.

We went once and it was just nothing special to DH and I but when we took our nieces we decided to do it again...they loved the trick or treating and the parade.

I would not do it again though, twice is more than enough for us

You could maybe get them to have a nap (if they still do) and head to the party .
We went on Sept 5 last year and the crowd level was very low. We did every ride multiple times and saw the parade twice(they loved it!) and got a ton of loot.
This year though I will do what another poster mentioned ,buy tickets the day of or the day before. Since we have done it already we will make sure the weather is forecasted for no rain before we buy tickets. I did book the Pirate league and a MK area restaurant with the plan of attending.
What's the Pirate League??
