Taking a newbie!

Steven and I have been lucky to have two friends who we are really close to. It's nice to have a couple with whom you get along with so well, have lots of things in common and enjoy each others company. Unfortunately, we haven't spent much time together the past 6 months other then the occasional cocktail or dinner once in a blue moon.

While at The Ranch this weekend, we were talking about our September trip to Disneyland and DCA. One of the guys has been to Disneyland, but only for a short time. He designs sunglasses and one of his clients is Disney, so he's had a couple of hours to wander the park, but that's about it. His partner on the other hand, has NEVER been to either park.

They asked us this weekend if it would be ok to join us on our trip. We've been trying to get them to go forever. Of course we said yes. The chance to really show them every detail about Disney Magic is so exciting to both of us.

One of the things they had to agree to, was Mickey Ears. The first thing we do upon entering the park is go straight to The Mad Hatter and buy Mickey Ears with our names on them.

It's a requirement.

Taking someone who's not been - makes the whole experience new - special.
Have a blast.

That's what we were thinking. We'll be pointing things out that we've grown accustomed to and going on attractions that we normally might bypass. Whole new experience.

The first person to reply on any thread needs to quote the OP Happiness is marrying someone you can annoy for the rest of your life!

Well he's even more then a newbie. He knows absolutely NOTHING about Disneyland. Never has even seen pictures. Doesn't know anything about the park. I was talking about POTC and he's like, what's that? He has no concept of what the park has, what's all involved, what happens. Nothing. Only thing he heard was that had a "pretty good fireworks display". Um yes, they sure do.

Completely! I'm really hoping he gets into the whole experience. I think he will once he sees how much we do. I'm sure there's exceptions to this, but I just don't see how anyone could not get caught up in everything.

And don't go bragging it up all around town after.
