Lightweight Backpack for Disney
I'm thinking about purchasing a lightweight backpack to take all my "stuff" when I am at the parks, anybody have any suggestions?

Hi there!
I've seen the Eddie Bauer lightweight ripstop packable back packs and those seem really durable, yet lightweight and fold down really small for storage. So you can throw it in your suitcase, or closet when not using it. These are on their website only, and I think you can get a deal on them for about $20 (if you call in and ask if they are on sale). Plus, they stand by their products, so if anything ever happens to it, you can get your money back. I have some of their other bags and really like them and get a lot of use out of them. |

I ordered our bag from disneyshopping.com. It's not really a backpack; it's what they call a crossover sling bag. It was $25 and you can personalize it with whichever character you want and a name if you want. It has tons of pockets and comes with a water bottle holder that can be attached as well.

My wife and I each have a mini-backpack that we purchased at ebags dot com. This backpack holds a lot of stuff: http://www.ebags.com/olympia/academy...?modelid=87800

Ck out the Vera Bradley site. Look in the sale catagory for the best prices. Only problem I see is getting Dh to share the carry time.

I LOVE my Vera Bradley backpack at Disney - it has so many pouches and great pockets...and weighs nothing but is pretty good in size...but you are right my husband will not carry it...I am going to the outlet sale this week to look for one he might carry like the black microfiber...

I agree with the Vera Bradley backpacks
For adult trips I use the backsack and for trips with the kids I use the large backpack. They are so light to carry and so cute I am also going to the outlet sale, can't wait!!! |

We used my DS's kids sized Cars backpack that we got at Wal-Mart last summer during the back to school sales. I can't recall exactly how much it was, but I know it was less than $15 on sale. If you are just going to be using the backpack for this trip, I'd suggest checking Wal-Mart, and if no luck try at some thrift stores. My philosophy is why pay full price if it's only going to be used for a week or so. You may also want to check Ebay if you have time to wait for delivery before your trip.

Thanks for the recommendations, I will be using for other trips we have planned so it is going to come in handy not just for Disney but for other weekend day trips.
