Reminder** Today is the day that Passports will now be required to cross the Border by land.

On the news last night, I just laughed as people complained they were not given enough notice about the new passport rules.

Hello, it took FOUR years of false starts to make it to today. Apparently the Government still works too fast for some people

They were talking about it on the noon news..Passport Office is backed up--again.

Too may waited till the last minute.

Lol, Ya I got my passport a few months ago for my trip in August. I can't believe people said that the gov't hasnt given enough notice!!!

I cannot believe after the all the publicity this has received that people are still in a panic to get their passports ! Did they not see this coming ?

I know it is an expense but any of the alternatives presented are also an expense. If you travel at all it just makes sense to have a passport.

Maybe I think differently as we are relatively close to the border and would normally drive over for dinner every so often anyway...

Since getting our passports we always comment on how handy it is to have them for identification purposes. No questions anymore as to what is needed...just take your passport !

Now only if the pictures weren't so horrid !!!

DH has been so annoyed with the passport commerical they've been showing...

What bothered him - why are all the people SMILING in their so-called photos?? Now yes, it's a commerical but really... he would have enjoyed it SOOOO much more if everyone had to share their lifeless expression look
