Nope, not Landshark. I was curious, and it's "birthyear" is 2007...However, I do recall that Sam Adams brews a "festival beer" each year. It is not at the Festival Center, but at the Sam Adams booth in USA. Hops and Barley, I just looked and there is a 14th Anniversary Brew - I wonder what it will be like? Maybe DH can post a review...???

Had my first Landshark in 2007 at the Festival Center. Quote from Allears 2007:

This year, the Festival Welcome Center, previously located in Innoventions, is housed in the Wonders of Life pavilion in Future World East......The pavilion is also the site of the "Wonder Bar," where you can purchase beer, wine and champagne by the glass

Thank you! It was Landshark, then! And they had none last year... DH won't need to post the review, chip&dale&fun... I will take one for the team and give it all a taste. I'll let you know how the beers stack up.

Oh, I am a beer lover too! So no potshots from me. I truly will taste all the beers and wines at the F&W Festival that I possibly can. And will report back as ordered!

ETA: I had the thought that Landshark was an AB beer but couldn't find that info anywhere! Thanks for the confirmation. And the explanation as to why I didn't like it.

Is Saturday alot more crowded than Friday?

We can go either Friday during the day, leaving early for MNSSHP or Saturday all day and night.

Which would you choose? (The dates are October 2 or 3.)

We will be there the same time you are. We are headed to F&W as soon as we get off the plane on Friday, October 2. Saturday will be considerably more crowded.

I will be there friday Oct 2 and possibly October 3 if I can talk the kids into it. I will guess that Friday will be less crowded, but I'm hoping it will be tolerable

In my experience there is never a list until you get inside and look at a program to see who is there. If I am wrong (and I could be because we have only gone 5 times) someone will let us know!

I agree with Elin. There is never a list of chefs who'll be at Party for the Senses. You pretty much find out when picking up the program. But, there's always a good indication of who might be at a Party by the culinary events listed for that week. Robert Irvine did a PFTS a couple days after he did a Kitchen Conversation event.

Back from a short trip to WDW - and other than one sign in Mexico, you would never know that the Food and Wine is to be launced in less than 20 days. I expect they will be working nights after the holiday weekend.

We've signed up for 8 of the Wine Seminars and Culinary Demonstrations in the Festival Center. For those of you who are either DVC members or Tables in Wonderland card holders, if you book in advance these are $5 instead of $8. I know some people are probably annoyed that these now cost and used to be free, but so long as I have reserved seats for 2 @ $5 each, I'm not complaining. We're doing these events this year instead of the two $150 a plate meal events as we've usually done over the past five years or so. We're signed up for three events on the opening Friday (9/25):

12:00PM - 12:45PM Wine Seminar Wonderful Ethnic Wines, Brazil

2:45PM - 3:45PM Culinary Demonstration / Wine Presentation Andy Pforzheimer & Adam Greenberg, Barcelona Wine and Tapas Bar, South Norwalk, Connecticut

3:45PM - 4:30PM Wine Seminar Marqués de Cáceres, Rioja, Spain, Luis Burgueno

I'll post reviews!
