I agree....this seems like a very reasonable deal....which is unusual for Disney and therefore makes me wonder what they've got up their sleeves! I don't know about France, but I can confirm that Germany offers a wine flight year round at the Biergarten, and I seem to recall it was about $10 or so. It was composed exclusively of Rieslings...which I liked as I enjoy a sweet wine. This wine walk seems like it will offer a bit more variety than the current flights offered at WS.

I know what you mean.....I was thinking that I would have to make my ADRs blind and then scurry to re-arrange later. And while it's not official information, it certainly seems credible....

Right. Even though it's not official, it feels like it is valid enough to schedule around. Let's see when the "official" announcements come out. Hopefully not 3 days before we have to book.

Nothing else is peaking my interest. I don't want to go to Party for the Senses again because I did not like having to be on my feet all night. I also got food poisoning from it last year (shocking with the calaber of chefs there, I know). Sean wants to go again though.

I believe I'm going to skip this for the first time in the past 6 food and wine trips. The only thing I know I want to book so far is the Signature meal at Flying Fish. The rest of the meals, I think I'll be doing Todd English's bluezoo™, Bistro de Paris, and Vicki and Al's Diner.

France and Germany both have wine flights all year round, along with Italy.
Germany tends to change up the wines quite a bit, definately not exclusively rieslings. France has great selections, Italy keeps the same selections for a long time.

Now..the difference, hopefully will be, taking their hints from last years Australia wine walkabout...some new and exciting wines since they are featuring these countries. I think it would also be nice if they offered some of those walk abouts, inside with some more limited type wines.

Heck, they could even bring in those machines to the festival center. The ones where you get a card, test some wine...at perfect temperature. Now that would be great, serve yourself, sit and enjoy.

LOL, I love those things..they already use them at Swan/Dolphin resorts.

I think it would be a great idea for F&W but wouldn't you hate to be the person who'd have to work on keeping them filled? With all the boozies who wander through the world showcase on a daily basis can you just imagine how busy that poor CM would be?

Hey Brenda..lol. They would definately need more than one castmember. It would be a great way for them to put some more expensive wines out there for us wine/foodies to sample without costing disney an arm and a leg.

It would probably cost us more than it should, lol, but heck, it is Disney, lol.

We would too. That is one of the things we love about the little wine shops around here with those machines, they put the expensive bottles in, you choose the sample size...we have found some great stuff. If Disney did this they could sell a lot of bottles out of their little wine for sale section.

Hey guys, I totally agree!

With those machines, maybe they would get the temperature of the wine correct!! Sorry, but 85 degrees is not my idea of serving red wine. Last year, that's exactly what the temperature was when I took it from the Mexican booth!! (Yes, I brought a thermometer ) Just not right! I guess by them leaving it on the counter, they considered it "room" temperature. This is Floridia people!
