We had an AWESOME time last night. The meal was very good--parts of it unbelievable, parts of it just so so--but the company was wonderful! We were seated with a nice couple--he was from Fresno, she was from Irvine and they were really nice and friendly. We all had a great time laughing and such together. There were a few "technical" difficulties--the entrance set-up was crazy--we had to go out to the Esplanade between the two parks and stand around for 1/2 hour while they cleared the park; then I finally was in pain from standing so I asked when we were going in and they took us right in--they were very nice. The other "glitch" was that by the time we got to the main entree I was full and they wouldn't let us take it out with us--something about food temperature issues. Very strange. Other people were upset too about that. Then we were escorted after the event by a CM through a very quiet DCA to the Calif. Grand entrance--it was beautiful! We all went back to the room Dawn and I were in to watch the last hour of American Idol--we were all shocked by the outcome! I have pics of all the food and will post them later. Right now I'm at a client's so can't "Chat" much and can't catch up right now either. Hope everyone's having a great day and will check in later--as I'm sure Dawn, Linda and her DD will!

and I will just say, if you ever need a bodyguard, Dawn and Linda are the gals to have!!!!!

Thanks everyone! Kelly, it's from the Topomax actually. I was put on it for migraine control and prevention and it's just a shame because it was really helping me. I began taking the medication around the time I was writing my thesis paper, so about 3-4 weeks ago. About 2 weeks into it I started having breathing problems and thought it was just asthma and my fibromyalgia pain in my chest. I even PMed Heather about it when I saw you had mentioned the co2 risks. Well, I decided that it was just allergies and went to the doctor and got a different rescue inhaler and singulair. Finally about a week 1/2 ago I became very worried that there was something seriously wrong with me because I just couldn't breathe and was gasping for air. Then a week ago I finally said something because it was unbearable. I feel like I need to yawn all of the time and the deep breaths aren't satisfying so I just keep gasping for air like I'm suffocating or something. I finally called the Topomax hotline and my doctor and flat out stopped taking the medication Monday night. I still am gasping for air right this second but it's becoming less frequent and isn't as painful. I've been out of it because I have had to take klonopin a lot because when you can't breathe, its your body's natural survival instinct to become alarmed, which was making it so much worse.

In no way am I complaining about it though, it is what it is and I'm very lucky that it isn't a pulmonary embolism like some of the symptoms show. Things can always be worse and you just need to put them into perspective. A great and dear family friend fell out of remission lately. I can't remember which type of cancer she has but it's bad. My mom, who is a medical professional, fears that it has spread to her bones, but she hasn't shared the prognosis with anyone. I just feel very blessed that even though I'm moving, I can always come back and see my parents and family. For Sue's family, they might not have that option for her.

To end on a less depressing note, my auctions have raised over $1,000!

Oh thirteen-schmirteen! Go have fun! I went to last years with my mom, sister-n-law and ex-bf's mom. We went to dinner and had some drinks before hand and lots of good food. It was a blast! We had some drinks there too! Believe it or not, we weren't the only adult-only group there!

ps. I don't drink all of the time I swear. Just when I go out which is next to never.

I just feel very blessed that even though I'm moving, I can always come back and see my parents and family. For Sue's family, they might not have that option for her.

Bridgette, I'm so sorry you are going through so much and hope you feel much better very soon.

I just wanted to say what a kind comment you wrote. My son passed in 1999; not a day goes by that we do not miss him and long to see him again, hug him, hear his voice.

Your parents are blessed to have such a caring daughter.

LOL--it's the same for most of us--we joke and laugh about jello shots and Malibu rum but lately the only time I drink is when I am with the Divas! (note to self--spend more time with Divas!) Hope you get better soon too!

Thank you, Cheryl How sweet! I am open about it because we can honor him that way, but it always gives me joy too!

Yep! Looking forward to "Diva time" on the 16th! Dawn and Linda and I had this yummy sparkling cocktail yesterday at the wine bar--Raspberry Sparkle I think it was called--a little bottle of champagne with a shot of some type of raspberry liquer thingie--it was very good.

I am so sorry I disappeared. I got really sick and it was just too much to keep up with the post on here, I did not have the strength. I am totally surrounded by Laker fans and I never thought I'd find another living Nugget fan out here in LakerLand! And to think I'd find my sole Nugget fan here on the Divas thread!! Kenyon is a cutie! It's so exciting. When I was married we had season tickets to the Nuggets and we suffered through horrible seasons where they were way under 50% and we went just to see the other players like Shaq...he is huge in person! Anyway we'll be cheering side by side virtually tonight!

Tell me about it. I see Laker flags on everyone's car. My Dad is a Nuggets fan too. I always liked them, the Nets and the Trail Blazers, but with Carmelo and Kenyon and when they Allen Iverson they became my favorite. My Dad met coach George Karl a couple years ago at the NBA Store in NYC. It was when we he was the Buck's coach. He was just standing there and my Dad was like "Hey! That's Coach Karl!!" and he just walked over there and started talking to him. I was kind of embarrassed.

I've never been to a Nugget's game. I've seen Kenyon play when we was on the Nets, we went to a game in New Jersey when we were in NYC.

Yay! We'll cheer together!!

Bridgette, that's your b-day, right? I want to come! I can probably leave work early and join you guys in the afternoon. Cheryl is right, the Raspberry Champagne cocktail we had yesterday was really nice. Sitting outside enjoying the sites at DCA on the patio by WCT - it was a great spot. Actually there were several groups of women/families doing the same thing and one lady came back to her table with a loaf of Mickey French Bread from the bakery and gave us all a piece to nibble on. It was marvelous! Anyway, I will plan on coming to help you celebrate Boo Bear.

Oh, and one last thing. Guess who just happened to be standing at the podium right next to our table? Ryan and his butt, of course! We can never escape him! Cheryl or Dawn noticed him first and I almost didn't believe it. He was standing there looking bored the whole time.
