*Girls DL Trip* OLD THREAD

For those of you who saw my post on FB, here's what I'm doing. I was able to rent developer points for Saratoga Springs for a long weekend in October so I'm taking my DH for 4 days & 3 nights!! He has no idea, other than I told him to get the time off from work. And I was able to get a great deal on SW tickets plus I had credit to use!! Now I'm trying to decide about the dining plan and park tickets... decisions, decisions!! I'm so excited!! We're going the first weekend in October, which also happens to fall during the Food & Wine event. My goal is to convince him that we NEED to buy DVC! So wish me luck, send me prayers... whatever will make it work!!

I've got a doctors appt to get ready for and some errands to run. Fun, fun, fun. Not. lol

Stacie, Saratoga Springs?? As in WDW?? How fun!!! He's going to love it, and I'm sure you'll have no trouble selling him on DVC.

If any plans get made for our Feb trip that I've already missed or will miss, let me know and I will update the front page. For some reason, it just seems so far off to me that I can't get into the planning yet. Especially when I know I won't be doing any tours this time, and basically want to eat at all my old favorite places. Creature of habit and all.
Anyway, plan away! Especially the "newbies". Do any of the new ladies want to take the WIWF tour or the Segway?? We'll need volunteers, someone who's doing the tour, to over see it. And just let me know what I need to update if anything. Thanks!!!

Good luck to you!! Would you like to buy into Saratoga or GCV's? I bet they will offer free dining while you are there!! Have so much fun planning!! Oh........have you ever been there?

Hope your doctor's visit turns out good. Are you getting results back from all of your tests?

Hey I forgot to mention to everyone, that Kaitlyn went to see the Jonas Bros last night. Her friend is in their fan club, and got front row seats. Kaitlyn said that Nick Jonas was about a foot from her face doing one of the songs. She is super excited about the whole affair. She took pics, and I will try to have her help me get them on here.

Good luck with the appointments and errands!! I won't be doing any tours this time either I did them all last time (except Segway, but no one is going to get me on one of those - not coordinated enough ), so I really want to just have a chill trip this time and have more time to get to know some of the Divas

I'm tired. It was a good trip but a hard trip. I'm so thankful to my friends who have parents older than mine.. i can learn from them and all they are going through caring for their sick and aging parents.

Might you please add on the night of goofys character dinner... a group that is going to Napa Rose for dinner?

I'm going to NR.. my mom.. Melody.. Cheryl... i think Courtney and her mom said they wanted to go... and it's open if others might like to join us.

Awesome! I love WDW and I'm sure once your DH experiences a DVC resort he'll be sold! You'll love the Food and Wine Festival - that is my favorite time of the year to go to WDW! Have fun!

Make that 5 - I have already done all of the tours at DL so I would be happy to invite myself to hang out with you all! I do like the 'wild' rides and would be happy to go on everyone of them and hold anyone's had who needs it!

Hi Sarah - Thanks for the info! - we've been watching the news and it's hard to pack because I am still in hot weather mode so to try to get cooler weather things together has been hard! We have rain stuff and sweatshirts packed - I hope that is enough!

Vicki... you know what.. when i got on the plane from san francisco.. i asked the travel agent where my gate was..she said i was at it! i was such a scardy cat for nothing.

Yes there's room! So Sarah had a good idea.. for the group meals maybe it's best if we bring cash because they add on a tip for big parties and that way it's easy to divide up.
