So sorry to hear about your grandfather. I went through the same situation a few years back with my Pop and it's not easy.

Hi everyone. I just found out that my grandfather passed away today. I want to thank all of you for your prayers for my family. I really appreciate it. I'm thinking that the wake and funeral will be early next week. I'll still be around because the Dis gets me through my days! Thank you all SO much for reading!

Meghan I am so sorry for your loss. It's even harder when you have to explain it to a child. One thing people sometimes do is release a balloon in Disney in memory of a special loved one...

Madison knew that Poppa (that's what we call him) had cancer and was very sick. She visited him in the hospital in early March. I asked if she wanted to go to the funeral and she said no. It would be too sad. I really didn't want her to go anyways. She is an extremely sensitive child and cries very easily. She cries when she sees someone else crying.

Hello readers! Well, it is a beautiful day here in Buffalo and it's really bringing a smile to my face. I also went and got my hair done today, so that always makes me feel good too. Maybe if I'm feeling adventurous, I'll upload a pic of my new 'do later. (I have to do all my uploading on our desktop and it really is an adventure!) Anyways...Madison has her class feis (pronounced fesh) tomorrow for Irish dancing. It's their version of a dance recital. It gets the kids ready for a real feis (an Irish dancing competition), so it should be a lot of fun. She has very curly hair, but we'll be putting it in foam rollers overnight. We did a trial run the other day and it came out so good! So, that's what I'll be doing later. Curling her very long, curly hair.

I don't have any Disney news to report on at the moment. I might give Disney dining a call in a bit to see if there have been any cancellations. I don't have my park days all figured out yet, but don't worry, I'll post them as soon as I know! We are officially 40 days away from our trip (and my birthday)! Maybe I'll take a pic of our count-up calendar too. These days, I've been pretty forgetful, so we'll see how that goes.

My brain is full of too much information. I'm keeping track of my Disney trip, Madison's dance stuff, my dance stuff (recital is 1st weekend in June)....the list goes on and on! Well, just wanted to pop in and "chat" a bit!

Sounds like so much fun with the dance recital, I hope she does well. And I'm sure her hair will turn out soooo cute!! Please post pictures, I'd love to see them!!

Did you have any luck with a cancellation? I'd love to see your countdown calendar!! They are fun to see from time to time. I can't believe you're at 40 days, I'm so jealous that you get to go again so soon. It's going to be such a nice birthday present!! Keep us posted on things....it's a lot of work planning these trips and getting it just right, it's a never ending list....but so worth every minute!!!

I will definately post pics of Madison in her Irish costume! It's just too cute! I actually didn't have a chance to call Disney dining today. I went shopping with my little sis.

I'll keep everyone updated with my planning for sure. I need to sit down with my DH and go over some plans!!!

Hey there! Sorry I haven't been posting a lot. I've been so busy! I was hoping to upload some pics the other day, but I never got a chance. I promise that I will sometime this week. We had a great time at Madison's class feis on Saturday. I hope to post a more detailed update on that this week. I'm heading into Syracuse today for my grandfather's wake and funeral. I'll be back soon!

Thanks! We got home around 6pm last night and then I was off to go teach my ballet classes. It was an exhausting day, but a beautiful one (weather wise). I hope to be back later tonight with an update. I have to get my desktop up and running first!
