Roll call. It's been really quite the last few weeks.

THis week my legs are killing me and migraines while regular are down a bit. I finally got on scale to see what damage was done by all those weeks with daily migraine, the verdict 20lbOf everything I really hate how much my weight is effected by my crashes..oh well, back on a diet in a week or too. Started with removal of caffine which always makes me feel great (NOT), off meds as much as possible and when I adjust full on low carb diet next. hopefully I can get down enough top where my shorts to WDW for DD7 dance trip. Things are generaly good just wish I could catch up. Today looks like a beautiful day which boads well for my aches and pains.

Pain free vibesand pixie dust to all

Hi.

Sorry you are aching.. When my legs start it just is awful....
The weight will come off. The no caffeine is difficult indeed. I hope it doesn't trigger too many headaches.

For me, well. I have officially been diagnosed with Parkinson's to go along with the rest of the crappola. I don't think it hit me yet. We played with this a few years back, but my new Dr seems certain..

Mother came out of hospital, and seemed to be doing well . Today she went back 911 and it seems for more meds. I didn't go this time, and she is back home being told to take advil. I haven't mentioned to her about myself, and it's best this way.

My friend's band is playing at a local bar on Saturday, so my best bud is coming, and we are all going out for supper first and then on to that. Very much looking forward to it to be honest. Some adult time will be fun, and we are about 15 for supper and 50 for the band. We all know each other from school (many moons ago), and it is a fun reunion.

Rainy and bleak here, but this too shall pass, and then snow.>LOL...Actually was freezing this morning, but warmed up a tad.

Hugs to everyone(((((( (gentle ones)))))))

Hi everyone

I've been not so great lately. Nothing horrifically wrong, just a LOT of fatigue (sleeping about 5 - 6 hours at night, then around 4-6 hours during the day).

I get up in the morning with DH and make his lunch so he can get out the door for work. Then I usually stay up for a couple of hours, and then I'm crashing out by 9am and sleeping until 12 or 1pm. Then I'm up for the afternoon, I make dinner, watch tv with DH, o laundry, etc, and usually will fall asleep during the evening, in the family room. We head to bed around 11pm.

I've been taking 1 muscle relaxer at bedtime, along with 800mg of ibuprophen, and 5mg of Ambien. The muscle relaxer and ibuprophen are because I've been having terrible jaw pain on the left side. I need to get back to the dentist; I think that I may need a root canal done on one of my top molars. I clench my teeth while I sleep (and sometimes when I'm awake!), and it puts pressure on my teeth, and I've had fractures. Root canals and crowns are $$$$$. Not to mention the physical pain.

Anyway, life is good, other than my aches and pains. DS21 is in his senior year of college and doing very well ; DS24 is hoping to find work that would be suitable for him, in the hopes of getting off of disability . DHs job is, for the moment anyway, secure. I'm still collecting unemployment, but still looking for work almost every day.

That's about it for me. My life is somewhat boring, but with how I've been feeling physically, boring is good. LOL

I did read all of the posts, and WELCOME to the newcomers

I'm sorry for everything that all of you are going through.

Gentle hugs to you SeaSpray and scojos.. My smilies are down, but they are there for you both..

I find this time of year rough on the pain. At least in my neck of the woods. Changing of temps so quickly...

SeaSpray, your sleep plan is EXACTLY what I do. I go back after everyone is gone, and everyday I vow I won't do it the next day, and I do....

scojos, I am glad you have your trip to plan, and hope it cheers you up.

So sorry you are having a hard time

Have you ever gone to a lyme disease specialist? If not you may want to check out this article on how lyme can be misdiagnosed as parkinsons (would explain all your other symptoms too)http://www.endowmentmed.org/pdf/updatelyme.pdf

My DH and I have been conviced for a long time that my infectious disease specialist was right that I have undiagnosed lyme. 8 yr ago I went back to RI to see my specialist head of Infectious diseases at Brown Med school. She apologised saying she thought I had lyme all along, that the tests were throwing out false negatives on a reg basis and those she treaterd with symptoms but no positive test got better. Unfortuantly she was moving to California and I was about to get pregnant with our last child. We did not feel comfortable doing a year or so of IV antibiotics while pregnant just on a chance. (btw my DM, DF,DB, Best friends son, best friends step father and family pets all had been diagnosed with lyme). She gave me the names of several Dr.s noen of which would take me as I was too far away. Now with my DH having lyme we are more convinced than ever that its lyme, one of its cousin parisites or xmrv. Hopefully we now have several links to Drs who seem "lyme literate" meaning they are open to the concept that the test can be faulty and that long term antibiotics are sometimes appropriate. While Parkinsons is certainly possible especially if you have a family history please consider checking out lyme if you havent done so in the past 5yrs. Parkisons is a very serious diagnosis and lyme can have serious nerological issues as well.

Just a thought.

OMG you are exactly describing my day! I am forgoing the muscle relaxer which knocks me out and doing what worked on the ship...having a martini at 9. I'm sleeping much better and it tastes good to boot! We will see how long this fix lasts.

Sorry about the jaw pain. I hate pain in my mouth!

Ok complete mind freeze. Who was on the Fantasy from nyc while I was on Dream?? Rumor is 2014 will bring some changes of port and I'm really hoping for a nyc port as it would be 6hrs+ instead of 16-18. I was wondering what port you sailed from in NYC have to be ready if Disney starts booking in Oct. DH bugging me about parking options for van...I vote rental as it must be insanely 1998 when we were last in boston it was. $25 for most of the day til 6pm I figure long term could be 100 per day in nyc or am I way off?? It is the docks so I guess it could be reasonable but I bet its cheaper to rent.

Hi. Thanks for the link. I have not been tested, but I will read it thoroughly.

I wasn't on that cruise, but just recently sailed out of Bayonne. I believe it was 35$ per day. We stayed in Newark, and left our car there, and had transport to and from. Cruise package. MUCH CHEAPER.

I did sail out of NYC a few years back on another line, and did the same thing. Although the transport is further, so not inclusive. We either took a taxi back/forth due to the cost of parking in NYC.. There are 2 ports believe, and here is one of them http://www.nycruise.com/manhattan-terminal/parking/.. This is the port we sailed from..

I'd love that also. A 6 hour drive for us, but SOOO much easier than flying.. We are standby, and it is often a bloody headache, and just the fact of not worrying what our luggage cost, and liquids. etc etc..

Sorry to hear about the migraines. I've been getting them almost daily, too.

It's like a bad cycle. Then every once in a while I find myself able to stay awake during the day and it's like getting a gift of "time". (if that makes any sense).

It was me, on the Magic out of NYC this summer.

We're planning to cruise in 2014, and out of NYC would be great, and if it's the Magic again, then even better! I LOVE the Magic.

We should all plan to cruise together in 2014! A Fibromyalgia Pals cruise!

OOH. I'd love to cruise all together. Imagining it seems

Just wanted to stop in and say HI........I slept 4 hours, and have been awake since 5am.. Imagining it will be a long day. A nap is surely in there later.. Breakfast with the family and my Dad and his wife.

I hope everyone is doing the best that they can......

Hi everyone,

I have been gone a long, long, long, time. I have had so much going on, so many BIG changes!!

My son's dad reappeared after being absent all his life and is now seeing him. That seems to be going well for them. Well, me, I am having a few issues with this whole thing, but that is another story.

I went out to see my mother whom I have not seen for 10 years, and there is a reason for that. But I had to go and wanted to go for my Grandmother's memorial who passed almost two years ago. That was really beautiful and special, it was on the ocean shore that we had her memorial!!!

But seeing my mother was so difficult, I ended up leaving and staying in a hotel that last week we were there. It was a better visit than I normally have with her, however still not good. I did learn a lot about my family and my mother and what they have all been through growing up, and it gave me a better understanding of why my mother suffers from PTSD. She can also be abusive as well, it is a cycle that I feel I have broken, and my son agrees!!!!!!!!!!! But my mother was abused, and therefore she acts abusive when she is stressed or sad or whatever.

But mommasita, I feel what you are saying and I feel guilt as well. But you have to look out for yourself and your family. I understand totally what you are going through. My mother is in BC alone, and I feel guilty for that. When she moved there when I was 16 I literally ran away so I would not have to go with her because she was putting herself smack in the middle of dysfunction and abuse at its best. That is why she suffers from PTSD. So don't feel guilty, my life would have been so different had I moved with her!!
I love my mother and feel sorry for her, but you can't let it rule your life.

I did so much for my mom when I was out there, bought her groceries, did errands, took her everywhere she needed to go, ran myself ragged, no time for vacation stuff, just doing things for her. Which I didn't mind, they needed to be done. But came back in a huge fatigue flair that has taken me two months to come out of. And one day she says to me, I am trying to control her life and "eff" it up, because I don't like her bf!! Really, Really, Really?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Spending so much money to go and see her after 10 years, airfare, car rental, hotel room, etc, dinners out, everything, and that is what I get???!!!!!!! OMG It is sad, as a result, my son doesn't like his grandma, there was no bonding time with him, he just refereed our fights and hid out in the bedroom. DOesn't like her, doesn't respect her, it's sad really.

And I have finally started counselling for myself for things I should have went for when I was a child and I feel this will be the start of getting my life back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy, it will be a journey that is for sure, but the end will be worth it!

I just started a 90 day challenge and challenged myself to lose 40 lbs!! I am son my way, which is awesome and am so excited about it. Starting to get my energy back and feel good. It is Body by Vi and it is doing wonders for me, especially on the days that I have no energy I make a shake and I have my meal. That is a lot of the reason I have gained so much weight, if i am not feeling well I do not eat ALL DAY sometimes not until 9 at night!! Which is not good for my body. So this way, I can get my vitamins and nutrients in and it is working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm getting my sexy back LOL
If anyone wants more info on this PM me, I feel it has truly helped me.

I have not read all the back posts that would take quite a while!! But I see we have new people here!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully I will be here more often.
