Sunday 10AM in the Promenade Lounge sounds like a good time for us for the DIS meet!!!!! Is that a good time for everyone?????
Re: Palo brunches. Some have been trying to organize Group brunches for Palos. I think 1 is filled but someone (forgot who, sorry) is organizing a second Group brunch. We just don't know what day at sea they will be. It has to be scheduled through Disney. |

So far I have on the list: luv2boys Ramule Noahsmom Tia Dizzyworld (me) Total : 9 The cost is the same for brunch. Once we hit 12, I will need to gather reservation numbers to fax in the request to DCL. If we are assigned a time, they will cancel your brunch reservation if you have made one. Of course, you can try to get additional spots when on the ship. Join us......Shirley

Are we going to try and gather somewhere on the deck for the sail-away party? I thought I read something about that?

I was planning to head up to Deck 10 after the lifeboat drill to snag a table. My girls will probably enjoy the party from a distance. They're not really into crowds yet.

Hi all!!! May I join you?
Here's our story - we went on a 4 day Wonder cruise a few years ago. Had fun, but no real plans to go back soon. Surprise, we hear about Douple Dip to Castaway Cay - DH loves the island, so we decide to book the 8.17.08 DD in early 2007. Went on the Douple Dip - had a blast and got to meet some great Diser's like Ski-and-Sea, LyndaSilk, and your very own Dizzyworld and her family. Once again, had a great time, but thought we were done cruising for a while. Fast forward a year. April 2009. Getting ready to go to Spring break in Aruba. Were supposed to go to WDW with the dance group, but no one from her age was going, so we bailed on it and decided on Aruba. I see an email from Disney - don't really have a chance to read it before we leave. Come back from Aruba (which is a LOVELY island) and start going through the emails. Lo and behold. What is this? Kids sail free. Surely that is a mistake. For this SUMMER? Really? Nahhh. Can't be. A few days go by. I am in full deep-depression vacation withdrawal. Flipping around on the internet. Hit the Disboards (of course) cause they are my happy place. See folks talking about this kids sail free offer. The kids tell me RCL is having a Nick cruise with parents sail free. Hmm, should look into that. Call and its 4700 for balcony. Decide I should at least call DCL to see what the deal is. Price the July 18 and July 25, balcony and OV. O Tortoal is pricier for CAT 6 by about 1200. We've always done balcony. SHould we? Debate, debate. Lots of money. Weren't planning on this. But really good deal. I mean can we pass it up. Back and forth, back and forth. We could either do July 25th balc. or July 18 Cat 8. Call this morning. They say Cat 8 not available. OK, what to do now? Hang up. Still have Cat 6 on hold. But that is a big diff in price. Wait a few hours. Hubby says, just go ahead and book the CAt 6. Ok - call back. Mysteriously, Cat 8 now available. WOOHoo!!! Book it Dano. Cat 8, GTY, July 18 Tortola. So - here we are - let me introduce myself - Me (darnelle) 41, confirmed disney-aholic - single handledly trying to stimulate the US economy all by myself. DH (mike) - 44 - secret Disney fan. Won't admit it to the world, but loves Disney as much as me. DD (15 on the cruise) - loves all things Disney, REALLy wanted a balcony, but I have promised her she will live. DS 9- easygoing kid who is A-O-K as long as he has a hot tub and a pool. DD is super happy that Dizzyworld is on the cruise with her DD. I will forward her the thread for teens. Looking for some friends for my son as well. Now - on to specifics - does anyone know what the dining schedules are for formal nights/semi formal, etc. and what theme nights there are and when? Thanks!!! |
