Guests on convention reservations will be placed in either the Tower or Garden Wing room when they check-in, because that's why their rates are so low. So basically they do not get to pick the room type and view they want like guests who make regular reservations for their vacations.

In our experience, they always seem to be in the Tower rooms, usually on the same floor. However, there are "Hospitality Suites" in the Garden Wing that I assume they might use as well for entertaining

We're back!
We're just back from a week at the Contemporary (Jan 25 - Feb 1), we booked a MK view tower room and we were upgraded to the Atrium club on the 12th floor
We had a wonderful trip and are still visiting my parents in Dade City until Feb 14th but I will try to start my trip report and dining review as soon as possible. We had the DxDDP and loved it. We had excellent service everywhere we went and had a couple of Magical Moments If anyone has questions I'll be happy to answer. I am looking forward to being able to actually provide meaningful contributions to discussions insteading of lurking and asking questions The crowds were super light and most rides were totally walk on. The trip was worth every penny we spent |

No monorail issues, it often paused for a couple of minutes and they would announce that they were waiting for traffic clearance. No big deal. We only had to stand maybe once coming back from MK after the fireworks. I figure we were the most economical family to upgrade since we had the DxDDP to follow
