What kind of specials run during "Jersey Week?"

Do any specials run during the 1st week of November...Jersey week??

DH and I are talking about our next vacation and it will be Jersey week of 2010 or 2011. HOPING for 2010. Wondering if there are any deals during this time.

We got in on the 4/3 deal for our last trip.

Few, if any, to the general public in recent history. No need - all of New Jersey goes anyway; Disney has no problem filling the rooms, plus it's the end of the Food & Wine Festival, plus it coincides with Super Soap Weekend and Festival of the Masters... or has, in the past.

However, working on the 'past history is no guarantee of future performance' theory, anything is possible.

Keep your eyes peeled on the boards is my advice, but don't count on getting a break that week except for AAA.

I received a PIN code for 40% off last month, and that week was in the "blackout dates" of the offer which included most of the rest of 2009.

The best deal I found for Jersey week was at the swan dolphin. 179.00 a night on the AAA rate.

If Disney offeres anything better I'll switch, but for now its the best rate I found for Jersey week.

No offense- but why would you want to schedule a trip during Jersey week? It can be high prices and big crowds.

That being said, I went the past 2 years during Jersey week and Easter week since we are both teachers. We stayed off and rented a house last year and enjoyed it (and saved a lot of money) but I really preferred to stay on. Just be prepared that it can be very crowded, which is the reason for the lack of discounts on hotels and air.

Actually, we got a discount last year during JW. It was a public code. If I remember correctly, it was a 20% or 30% room discount...

It was not announced until very late, though. We were prepared to pay rack rate. My guess is that you will have to wait and see...

For the same reason's other people do it. LOL Because we live in NJ and have a child in school. We pulled him out of school for 6 days last week for our trip this year. He's getting older and it's not as easy to pull him out. Work load is getting higher.

I really don't like high crowd times and have always gone during low crowd times. Last week was pretty high crowd times and I have to say...with a good plan we did really well! Rode LOTS of rides. Almost everything in MK. Hit up every park, had rest day, etc.

Now I would NOT go in the summer. Can't take the heat or the crowds.

But I have heard Jersey week isn't THAT bad compared to spring break, Christmas, Thanksgiving or summer break. We would arrive the Saturday before and stay until maybe the Friday or Saturday before Veteran's Day. I wouldn't stay through since that is also Veteran's Day weekend. I would leave probably that Saturday morning to beat THAT crowd. So I'm thinking 10/30-11/6. Or 10/31-11/6.

I don't have AAA but we are going to be getting it since we cancelled our other road side assistance through USAA. I will probably just book through AAA. Thanks! My aunt always books through them and she goes in July.
