Back from October 2-11
Just back .We had 9 lovely nights at the World and are home safe, sound and sad. Weather: HOT HOT HOT HOT and HUMID...worse than any August I have ever experienced!! Only 1 day of a few light sprinkles. Crowds: Heavy during the day but extra late magic hours were AWESOME as usual and we rode the big attractions over and over. Off to do laundry. Will work on a PTR soon. Gina |

I have to agree with above -HOT, HOT, HOT & HUMID! This was unexpected, as we've also been in August and September and felt this was maybe worse! Tempers in our party were short. ![]() Our stay at OKW was lovely, location nice, buses good. We did have a few issues with our dinning plan bill, but they got it fixed, and all CMs were very nice. We also did one night at ASMu, Room was fine, location a bit of a walk, food court had very good selection. The buses were always crowded, and long wait from the park the 2 times we used it. Couldn't check our bags for flight home, or get boarding passes as they were having issues, and seemed very unorganized. Most CMs were super nice during our stay. Except for one bus driver that was a grump, and a couple of CMs that were a bit short with people. DGS had his 8th BDay, and was constantly told "Happy Birthday" He really ate it up! ![]() We were on the DDP and had wonderful meals. No problems with ADRs, but, like last time for us, Coral Reef was a long wait. 20+ mins seems like forever when you have nowhere to sit, and you have children with you. I hope I can do a quick trip report when I have more time, and pictures!

6 days to go... and it looks like we'll have a break in the weather (praying they're right).
We went in September a few years ago, and I really didn't handle the heat/humidity well. But highs in the mid 80's are tolerable.

For those of you getting ready for your trips, I thought I'd leave you with a few tips that I learned this trip.
![]() I know that I'm forgetting some, but here goes; *Put your park tickets on your room key card, if you don't have a pkg. The paper type tickets get damp and quit working after a few days, or at least give you trouble. *Use the fast pass system!!! As soon as you get to the park, get FPs for something that you know will get busy, or for a ride you know you will want to do twice. It makes a big difference, even if you only use 2 a day. *Get to the parks early! The first couple hours you'll find very little wait times. It will save your sanity! *Find counter service that has indoor seating, and avoid 12-1pm if possible. Of course we were dealing with intense heat and humidity last week, but this saved us by giving us the cool break when we needed it. *Make time to swim or give the kids time for even the water play areas in the parks. The kids told us they would rather leave the park to swim, that push to hard in the parks. Sometimes a 45min pool break worked wonders. * If you have little ones, always have some little treat on you. My 2yr old DGD would start to melt down, or whine, or throw a fit, and I would say " Look what Grandma has!"-cranraisons, nuts, piece of candy. She would forget what she was upset about! ![]() *About 75% of the counter serve places would give us water instead of desert, this worked well. *And don't take any grumpy people with you to spoil the fun!
